@djargus You're confused my friend, so I'll clear it up for you. Captain Jason Sansky is a traitor in the novelization version adaptation of the film, but he became remorseful of his actions. Here in the 1999 "Wing Commander" movie however, it's very different, as he never did betray our heroes (It's called Adaptational Heroism).

Copywrite issues, I think. The movie was produced by the Robert brother's (the creators of Wing Commander). But by this point, they sold most of those rights to Origin and had split from them. Wing Commander 4 was their last WC game with Origin, who made Wing Commander Prophecy around the time this movie came out. But the Robert brothers did another split off space sim game (I don't remember the name) that had cutscenea from the movie.

lost me at the planes dipping after exiting the launch run way... as if there is gravity in space, and aerodynamics to bump them back up? and why exactly would fighters shake like that? what are they buffeting against? and torpedos that fall into space like water? movie looks like it was made just after a WWII battle scene and they forgot to hit the space physics switch when the new film crew came in. its WWII carrier combat... but in space... almost half expected to see the pilot eject without a suit into space... with a parachute. and "pull up"? pull up from what? heh.

have you any understanding of physics? The torpedo scene makes totally sense, those torpedoes are pushed out by... compressed gas whatever out of the tubes and then start getting speed when their engines kick in. Of course does a fighter shake up like that, when it has some big ass cannon that uses primer and gunpowder to shoot that gun. they don't use lasers in the movie (do in the games tho). And why should a spacecraft not dip after the runway? i mean they don't need a runway at all, but they wanted one in the movie, since it's in the books. to have them slide over the runway just some rcs thruseters firing down, and disengaging and engaging some other thrusters to bump back up. you are not very smart for pointing out these things and not coming up with an explanation for yourself. also, noone cares if they 'lost you' this movie is 25 years old - older than you probly by 2 decades
