Finally got my dw board, took out yesterday for a sup foil, very humbling, constantly battling roll when trying to get the power down paddling for a wave. Yes im a noob to this but experienced short sup rider, can paddle straight in surf stance no problems and i wing foil. Just gotta keep at it, get the muscle memory dialled into keeping board flat and it will come. Thanks for all of these mighty vids DD, continuing to stoke the dw fire 😊

Yew! Enjoy the journey. Before you know it, you won’t even remember what it was like not knowing how to do it… it will take time but there’s so many gains to be had that you can’t even imagine 🤙🤙 What was the board? I can’t remember

Curious how you get from standing and winging to sitting in chop without getting the wing wet. And how light wind can you still get up with that 2.8? Cheers

I slow and bring the board down to the water, pointing high into the wind. Land the board and then hold the wing engaged above my head and just drop to my backside on the board… scary at first but it works well. 8-9kts is fine for getting up with a dw setup for me. I use everything at my disposal though, I can’t just sheet in. 🤙🤙
