Search Results (80 mg) / (5 ml) = 1.6 g / (100 ml). i got this from the internet conversion website . im sure the conversions i have stated are correct.
@egpat6 жыл бұрын
Exactly, you are right ! 80 mg/5ml = 1600 mg/100ml = 1.6 g/100 ml

hi i dont understand this question: How many millilitres of drug suspensions containing 80 mg/5 mL and 30 mg/5ml should be mixed with to prepare 500 mL of a suspension of 10mg /ml i converted all the concentratiin to the percentage volume whichbis g/100ml and why does the answer differ eventhough all units are the same. 1.6%, 0.6% and wanted percentage is 1%. please adviceeeeeee
@nourannegm14496 жыл бұрын
because your conversion is not correct.. if you convert all concentration to percentage it`ll be (h=0.16% , l=0.06% , m=0.1%) but it`s a difficult method you like may 2 conversion first from mg/5mg to mg/ml then into (g/ml)% .. whatever if you try the new percentage concentration you will find that it`s the same .. I hope you understand it

All your conversions are correct. Higher concentration (h) = 80 mg/5ml = 1600mg/100ml = 1.6 g/100ml Lower concentration (l) = 30 mg/ 5ml = 600 mg/100 ml = 0.6 g/100ml Final concentration (m) = 10mg/ml = 1000mg/100ml = 1g/100ml Therefore, if we apply alligation, 1.6 1-0.6 = 0.4 1 0.6 1.6-1 = 0.6 H = m-l = 1-0.6 = 0.4 L = h-m = 1.6 -1 = 0.6 Hence, alligation ratio will be, h:l = 0.4 : 0.6 = 2:3 Same ratio as you have seen in the video. Please remember that, H can be obtained by using formula "m-l" not by "h-m". Hope this clarified your question.

I think in last method we can directly go with C1V1=C2V2. 5%v/v×X=6% v/v×100mL this gives 120 mL.
@egpat6 жыл бұрын
Exactly, You are right. When diluting with water, simply we can use the formula C1V1=C2V2. But if we are mixing solutions of two different concentrations or to know dilution ratio, we should use alligations. Thank you for watching video.
