Winger is an insanely good band and a Hall of Fame lineup. Kip Winger is an amazing front man and holds a Masters in Songwriting & Orchestration from Juliard (!), Reb Beach is a sick guitarist easily as talented as any guitarist in rock history, Rod Morgenstein regularly makes the 50 best drummers ever. Believe me, bands dont get any more talented than this. Guys who slam Kip know he's had more hot chicks than they could even dream of. Long live Winger.

Can somebody PLEASE recognize Kip Winger as the great musician that he is. Reb Beach and Kip are a great song creating duo. Hands down they make absolutely undeniably great songs to THIS DAY. Kip on his own is so talented. Just listen to his solo albums. So good. Just LOVE his music.

I'm proud to own the first and second Winger albums on cds. I remember being in high school as a 16 year old guy in love with a 17 year old girl, really connecting the song 'Seventeen' to my reality. Winger is awesome.

The passion, energy, talent & charisma. Yeah, Kip Winger possessed all of that and definitely backed it up with every performance. Thirty years later he's showing no signs of slowing down, plus his talent and looks have improved.

There is nothing wrong with having the excitement in rock music or even in heavy metal. If it is OK to have depressing and suicide-inducing songs that 90s music have, upbeat tempo and high vocal range songs deserve the share of the shelves. It is called variety.

I probably heard this quote from somewhere but Winger is one of those bands that can show up on stage and play just about anyone else's tunes but not a lot of bands could probably do justice to Winger's material. And from what I gather they are all good guys, too.

Reb Beach is so underrated, IT'S SICK. So are Lynch, Timmons, Jake E Lee, the guy from Loudness and Mick Mars. Paul Taylor might be a Rhythm Guitar but, he's underrated as well. How about Winger is just underrated?

Agree with you 100% ! Mick Mars was underrated also, Jake E. Lee, Steve Lynch from Autograph also, check out his Hammerhead Instrumental on Guitar, that is more complex to play than anything I ever tried from Eddie, and I love Eddie Van Halen ! Reb also, SO HARD TO PLAY ! The other Lynch, George of Dokken, he did get due Credit, but Reb Beach, and Steve Lynch, and Mick Mars did not ! Nor Jake E. Lee and the others you mentioned above either

I can imagine the girls going nuts for Kip Winger back in the late 80's/early 90's (especially here 03:09). Before the rise of grunge, the glam craze had been pretty much alive at the time.

@@sheilarn6447 What were the late 80's and early 90's like? Did you also have a crush on Harrison Ford and Mickey Rourke? I remember the early 90's as a kid, not as a teenager or an adult - playing Sega, SNES, and the arcade, watching many animated motion pictures on VHS, eating candy, hanging out with friends, playing imaginatively just outside the house with superhero suits, toys, and plastic guns and cars, learning my alphabet, etc...But I'm still nostalgic for those times.

Not a huge Winger fan, however, they do some some great songs. I read these comments and it seems like most are from kids who were born in the 90's-2000 era. There will never be any music as genuine and talented as the 80's. Reason why? Bands cared back then. Now its make a song and move it. Make a song and move it. Glad i grew up then. Best time frame for music. We had Ac/DC, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Motley Crew, Winger, Poison just to name a few. Such good times and music. It is all commercialized now. Such a shame.

Good selection and Winger fits just right. I know some folks (born in the 70s and 80s) who really liked Winger from the beginning and gave a shit about Beavis & Butthead, because great music is great music regardless of the image or haircut style.
