Gee that's no good. Where we go foiling/windsurfing in Scotland, Tiree, we keep the keys in the ignition of the car and all the houses are never locked, such a great place and lovely you can still do this.

Wow, I wish I could have that kind of trust in people. South of France is a different world though. I guess on Tiree thieves couldn't go very far 😂. I visited the island Rùm once I think which isn't too far from you, right? Beautiful! But I hope you have good midges repellant when wingfoiling up there 😉

@@windaddict Island of Rum, yes not too far from Tiree, only disappointment is when you get to Rum, there's no Rum, LOL. Midgie's in Scotland can make or break your holiday, but if the wind keeps blowing it keeps them away. 😁

So sad to hear about this. Thieves are worth identifying, try using cameras as another safety deterrent.

It's getting worse each summer the thieves have worked out how much we spend on gear and see it as an option. We are a large community from Barcelona to Delta Del Ebro, Wingfoil Costa Daurada, I will inform the community about this, just before the new year one of the guys had his VW broken into 😢. The more we spread the word the less market they will have 🤙🤙🤙

This happened in France actually. But yeah you need to be careful everywhere and not shy away from any extra precaution you can take.

Lucky escape with trailer... may want to add chain and or bike locks to wheels as it looks like your parked far from the beach so they are probably fairly confident your there for a few hours.... I have been pretty lucky I in France depends on which beaches - I usually turn up with 2 boards (surfboard + kiteboard)and 2 kites (9 and 11.5) when there is wind and leave them on the beach - I usually plant the board in the sand so I can easily see my gear from the water.

I actually got a lock for the wheel right after this happened. So that should be an additional deterrent. If the thieves are really hardcore and well-prepared the could change the wheel, but I doubt that will happen. More locks = more safety. Hopefully from now on we will be fine.

@@windaddict motorbike/bike disc lock /block are also good - the small ones have a bump/motion detector + alarm/siren bulit in - not too expensive 25 euro from amazon, easy to attach to padlock, handle or drilled hole.

Waist leash get unleashed very often too with gong, weirdly enough if i get it a little bit loose it happen less often, same goes if i scratch it to my harness. For the leash rope, i burn the knot and use plier and it’s not moving anymore the only thing can happen is the rope can break. Sad to hear that for your trailer , we got ours gear stolen at the beach but stealing a trailer it’s another ball game , you should call the police and try to report it at least they will send patrol to this place more often. You dogded a big bullet. Congrats for your tack attempt especialy in chop, tack is hard to explain but it a combinaison of coordination not to fast not slow , i think you are turning a little bit to quick to forced it’s a bit of a glide game . 🤙see ya buddy.

Good idea burning the knot!! I should do that!! If my French was better I would report it to the police. 😄 Yeah the tack is difficult! Sometimes I see people turning rapidly, but maybe with the high aspect I need to focus more on glide as you say. But if you go against the waves it's hard. You always give helpful tips, thank you!

@@windaddict oh yeah wave doesnt help ...it's can help if you are in wave direction but yeah in front of it , i tried the ocean you will see how bad iam in my future video haha =) back to square one in manoeuver. you could have spoken english police will understand.
