So much potential, gone... I'm not a huge fan of Monty, but only because I've never really watched his stuff. A friend of mine introduced me to RWBY a while back, when Season 1 was still fresh and the show was still going through its awkward phase. I must admit, I'm nowhere close to being an avid fan of RWBY, but this news still left an impact on me. No innocent person should ever die at the age of thirty-three, especially when it's someone whose work touches and inspires so many. Rest in peace, Monty Oum.

Friends die because they are forgotten. It's like he knew he was going to slip away. Bursting with life he came to succeed. Unfortunately a mere mistake got the better of him. He died so young, a future aspired legend of animation. A rememberance of his great humor and amazing animation and design skills. Most of us haven't meet him, but we wanted to. We just didn't have a chance to. Inside, we all knew he was a great man. We thought that he would succeed and achieve his goals. We all loved him deeply. Though he died so young. And had so much more to live for. Monty was surrounded by us. We loved him. He just had to slip away. It wasn't his fault. It was nobody's fault. Life just gave up for this great man. Sometimes it's just better to let go earlier than expected. Although in this case, it wasn't. His unfinished series will be remembered. His last project he was working on, we will complete it. What I like about this song is it speaks to all the characters. With the whole thing about wings, I thought of Nora (Nora VALKYRIE) and "12 hours is a long night" for Weiss and her line in ep 16 "We've been searching for 12 hours!" And then there's Jaune who isn't very powerful now, but he has great room for potential, and "he will fly" When you think about it, it has something about everyone.

It's a Monday, so I went to the LetsPlay channel to watch a GTA V let's play... to find one not posted. Was like "C'mon, can't fit a schedule? Lazy achievement hunters!" and googled "rooster teeth" to watch videos on the RT channel instead. Holy shit, I swear my heart stopped when I read the awful news on my screen. Honestly didn't believe it until reading the official post... He was too young. Way too young. His life was too great to be ended this early. I haven't cried yet... I assume I will eventually. I've been mad so far. How DARE allergies kill Monty?!?!? Life is a big bastard! Ah, but nothing can be done at this point besides remembering him as he was. His inspirational, productive, successful, übertalented life. He may have been unfairly cut early out of this Game of Life, but at least he got some damn good spins out of it. Eh, I'm done talking about this. It's too melancholy. Guess this is all I'm writing. I never really knew about Monty or RoosterTeeth when Monty died, but seeing all the comments and writings that people have posted on RWBY stuff, makes me know that he was a really inspirational person (thinks in head of course he was inspirational, he made RWBY!). When I finally watched RWBY, I saw that Monty Oum died and that was 9 months ago (I found RWBY in October)! I know people are saying sad things about his death, but we should be happy, knowing that we were able to make his days/years. Monty had lots of supporters whilst making RWBY, and we were his fanbase. For most of us (using myself in this point), RWBY has made us happy, and we have made Monty happy by watching his series. Yes, Monty's death was a very sad thing, but his works will still live on in our hearts and as long as we keep watching his shows. I've never felt so emotionally attached to a show and it characters like RWBY. RvB gets close but RWBY really feel for each character. Watching Penny get torn apart, Yang shooting Mercury due to a hallucination caused by Emerald and being hated. Also Pyrrah. I really fell in love with Pyrrah and Juane and how those two were finally getting together, and then bam, Heart shattered in one scene. I also felt worse for Ruby, who witnessed every one of these events.. God this show is so good. I'm glad to see it finally taking this turn but it sucks that my most favorite character paid the price..
