I too, started off using Wink of Stella pens but quickly found the spectrum noir to be a lot cheaper and better for my crafting style. Thanks for the video. Regards Liz.

The Nuvo pens are my favorite. You did however, forget to shake them and that may be why the Nuvo clumped a bit. I don't have that problem but use mine all the time. I haven't used my Wink of Stella in quite a while because it has to much color in it and it pools up. I will be trying the Spectrum Sparkle pens to see if I like them better. You should do a vid on DIY refills. Thanks for the comparrisons.

I have always used winkastella.....I have some Nuevo but I find after it has dried the glitter comes off onto my hand......I will have to give spectrum noir. A try......thanks for theemo

Thank you for doing the hard & expensive work for us. I bought the Spectrum Noir sparkle ages ago, basically because of the price. I've often wondered if I made the right decision. Now I'm sure I did, seeing them all side by side I much preferred the Spectrum Noir.

I like the nib on the Wink of Stella best, but I don’t care for the gold shimmer when I just want a neutral shimmer. It is too warm toned and changes your colors. I wish we could change the nib sizes! I only have some colored ones from Spectrum Noir, and really want the clear Spectrums.

I wonder if wink of stella have changed their formulation because my wink of stella is definitely clear, not a gold shimmer at all.

I just bought the wink of stella brushes, and I used the clear one on white cardstock tonight and it looks SO streaky. It looks gorgeous on an angle, under bright lights, but at the opposite angle or in other lighting it looks so dang streaky. Is this normal?

Yes it is normal for that pen. It has, I think, to much colored sparkle in it so I don't use mine so much anymore. I have used the Nuvo a lot but will be buying the Spectrum Sparkle pens to see if I like them better.

Spectrum is my go to one as well. Not tried Nuvo but Wink of stella is a good back up since I got the Spectrum a year or so ago ;) I would go for that one all the time ... and the cheapest - lol!

I find sn the glitter doesn’t stay on your work after it has dried, and the colour ones fade really quickly....🙂

They're not refillable with the actual shimmer. But I know the Wink of stella one can be refilled with a mix of water & isopropanol to give it an extra bit of life..not tried the other two though.. xx

I don’t like zig, it’s too gold for me, and the 3 in a pack is very good value, plus it’s more silver so less altering of colour being glittered. X
