Seen him solo and with the band Amazing gigs and so approachable. He was having his tea in the local weathespoons before the gig and didn't mind one bit being hassled by me and my mate for photos and signed tickets etc. Just a great ordinary legend.

Thanks. I really enjoyed this! Mr McNabb seemed very relaxed, and has a sense of humour about himself but without unnecessary false modesty. I liked the way you could see him really paying attention to the interviewer's questions and offering thoughtful answers. Also good to see that McNabb wasn't bashing Chris Layhe - there was a bit too much of that in his book Merseybeast, and I found it slightly off-putting. Kudos to the interviewer for asking some reasonable questions and then (for the most part) just letting his subject talk! Nice work all round. :)

Hi, I saw you, or I think it was you , at Wigan Old Courts, 29/09/2018, before the main band Close to Tears and I thought your performance of 'love is a wonderful colour' was fabulous! Thanks for taking me back to the 80's!

Saw Ians solo show last week and he was amazing. Great voice, great guitar player and had plenty of time and banter for two Scousers who had fagged all the way to Hebden Bridge to see him.

HOLLOW HORSE ' the best song for me ''''''' Be careful what you dream of it may come up and surprise you I can't confess my life's a mess I've come to idolise you You liken it to walking on hot coals I'll keep my boots on Wisen up and fly straight There's a shape on the horizon In a hollow horse I'll steal my way inside your guarded heart So selfishly the needs I harbour when we are apart My past strung out behind me, contradiction and disaster I'm in search of charity, a union I could master We'll be as we are When all the fools who doubt us fade away Fortune deep and wide Intimidated, restless in the wait Things I chose to value I no longer have a use for I ridicule myself for all the things those symbols stood for When vanity has played a part in every leader's downfall Wait to storm the gates, what's left undone to hang around for We'll be as we are When all the fools who doubt us fade away Fortune deep and wide Intimidated, restless in the wait

Cool guy! He was right about the music. Ll the eighties bands would not get any air play with the rubbish on their now. We have regressed in music big time.Thank goodness for the internet!!!
