They could not have picked a better brand Ambassador than Traveling Robert! I really like the floor plan on that Voyage. It's much like a 5th wheel layout with easy access to the bathroom and bed while traveling.

Living in the Colorado Rocky Mountains the Winnebago 100 totally FAILS for intended market: 1: The Torflex Dexter axle will not hold up to the off road market it’s being marketed to 2: Refrigerator too small for RV needs in this segment & has height for larger refer 3. Not Garageable 4. Only wet bath 5. NOT European double pane acrylic windows required in this market 6. Limited water, LP etc etc 7. Cost/benefit ratio totally upside down. Conclusion: Another Winnebago, half baked product, total waste of money for a product that doesn’t do anything well in every category and is not built rugged enough for the intended off road conditions being marketed to. Suggest the new Ember product lines. Superior in every way built with: 1: Proper Suspension 2: Proper European double pane light weight acrylic windows with built-in screens and shades 3: Multi sizes available & garageable 4. No wood substrates in floor, walls, caps, sides or roof 5: Built to last, not leak, mold and delaminate like “Moldybago” is famous for!

I absolutely love the little Hike. For biking/hiking/fishing/kayaking trips for a couple, towed behind a shorted pickup truck, just the perfect thing. And the new FLX Micro Minnie, almost could be called the Traveling Robert edition, it has many of the extra features you opted for :-)

I was a huge fan of Micro Minnies until Winnebago decided to derate GVWR from 7,000 lbs to 5,000 lbs (for the sake of accuracy some models were derated to 5.5K and a couple of them to 6K). Our first unit was 2018 1700BH with cargo capacity of 760lbs. We loved it. It served us well except it had one HUGE issue - 760lbs cargo capacity (500lbs after you subtract 260lps of water from it) was a crazy small number for a family (at least mine). I've been constantly watching my kids and my wife what they were loading it with. This issue became even worse after I installed 2 golf cart batteries. I knew that my 1700bh could handle more, but it could not handle it LEGALLY. Get in accident - insurance will not cover it and in the eyes of law I'd be at fault as well. We had enough of it and we traded it for 2020 1800bh with GVWR: 7,000 lbs giving us around 3,600 lbs of cargo capacity. What a difference!! We love dry camping, so we take a lot of camping gear with us and we never have to worry about overloading it. I installed 400 watts of solar on it (planning to add 200 watts more), 2400 watts inverter charger, 3 lithium batteries, tongue jack bike rack, porcelain toilet... We carry 15 gallons of extra water in jugs stored in the bathtub, we carry a 28 gallons blue boy with us (mounted on the ladder). These are just some of the examples of what 7,000 lbs GVWR allows us to do. There is no way we would be able to do it with 1800bh or 2100bh or 2306bhs 2021-22 models. Now all these cool mods which Winnebago started adding like kayak racks on the roof, hitch receivers are useless without proper cargo capacity. Now when people are asking me if I would recommend Micro Minnie - yes if cargo capacity does not bother them otherwise I suggest to check out No Boundaries 19.3, which has about 3.3K lbs caro capacity.

IF a person used a pickup to pull the Hike (well any camper) with that outdoor shower, you could have a water tank in the bed of the pickup to extend your off grid time, your limit would be the black tank. But you could also carry an extra black tank with macerator pump and really extend your off grid time.

I own a 2021 Winnebago Hike 215HS and have had nothing but problems. Air conditioner was DOA, radio / dvd player broke. Tons of construction debris, nails, saw dust etc. in the hidden compartment areas. Now where the exoskeleton of the Hike is bolted on to the trailer, it leaks in 2 spots. Oh and they use really low quality window seal so the seals around the 2 emergency exit windows began leaking. Do yourself a favor and don't buy a Winnebago!

The Hike 100 seems impractical to me. one of the reasons to have an RV is the kitchen and the kitchen of the Hike 100 is not comfortable at all.

I walked thru the old Hike "teardrop" style. Poor quality. On the roof, when someone installed the solar panel, the roof had already become depressed. Glad to see this new Hike 100. It looks like the better build quality of Micro Minnie, like aluminum framed TPO roof? Also, when does FLX go on sale?
