One thing i noticed that may help you out some on a truck with dig is to lock dig once you get your front tires up on an obstacle. Itll keep the truck from flipping over backwards while the front will continue to pull you forward.

Soo much fun. Man without a good spotter this would be 10 times harder. You really put that dog to use. A couple more time with the suck down winch may have helped. Overall fantastic job. Can’t wait to see the other videos. And congrats on best of show.

Hoho buddy that course is awesome. I didn’t realize that Colorado had red rock too, all of Vegas is surrounded by this stuff and shale. Always loved the performance of that rock’s grip surface, with the right setup you can climb to the moon. Have a good week dude, sick trucks and nice work on your trophy.

I would be curious to see how you would do with a shackle reverse setup on the front of the F-Toy. That way on inclines the axles sucks up into the truck, instead of unloading. I know when I switched my build over it seemed to help on inclines, but I also made other changes at that same time so I cannot be sure...Anyways, great video as always my friend, and glad you were able to survive being berated by Josh at another comp, lol. Cheers!

Did you ever figure out the sound coming from your mesh/gears? I was thinking it could be lack of shims going to your axles causing some friction. Beautiful rig by the way. Nice job , man.

Axles were shimmed, this truck was actually pretty quiet compared to the Jimmy's Buggy!

The straddle is to make progress but only lose points for hitting one gate. The chance of hitting both while trying to clear a difficult gate is high, so taking the easy route and only losing half the points is sometimes the smarter move!
