He would just take the pawn on b2, and if you capture on e5, he would eat on c2, checking, and after you move you king he would take your bishop on e5, or if you ate with knight, he would skip this last move and just take knight on c3. So black would be 2 pawns up. Im just 1600, so I dont know if there might be a way to play better in that position

I think I found an alternative solution to your puzzle: 1. f4 2. g4 3. Nf3 4. Nd4 5. Nf5 6. Ne7 7. Nc3 At this point, white has set themselves up for the 2-move checkmate and removed the pawn that black would need to move to get the queen out, and Qh4 is checkmate.

Watching you is a mix of unbelievable frustration and amazement. Frustrating because in my head I think…ok I’ll remember that trap, and then not only do I not, but I end up losing…badly when I try to replicate these traps.

For the puzzle, isn't 6 moves enough for white? f3, g4, b3, Ba3, Bxe7, Ba3 Qh4#

I came up with the six moves of g4, f4, f5, f6, fxe, fxB=N (or B). Then ...Qh4 is mate

Eric 20:37 you maybe should have taken knight because if then blacks pawn take bishop you take other knight then king is on check and if queen comes to protect king you could just take free rook and check again anf then if queen doesn't protect instead king moves you take other rook but if after the first check king just moves you still have traded 2 knights for your bishop which is good trade

Eric, I loved your little story about squirrel living in your neighbourhood. Funny how tough they are. Little squirrels. Can fall more than 30ft still being completely fine. Squirrels are cute, and awesome. Eric, stay awesome, I love your enthusiasm.

29:00 what about: 1.Nc3 2.Nd5 3.Nxe7 4.Nxc8 5.f3 6.g4 7.a3(not even necessary but if you want to follow the 7 mover rule). Black moves: 1.Qh4#

28:28 Your puzzle can actually be solved in only 6 moves for white, then 1 for black: b3, bishop a3, bishop xe7, bishop a3, g4, f3 and I think you'll find the mate :P
