I have already learned how to use Hagbane properly now. Very cool. Also - I love how much a BATTLE every inch of progress is in this. It's so awesome. I don't think I could deal with this pace necessarily, but damn it looks so fun. Bless you, your team and VT2. Man I love this game. Edit: 2:25 it's great to see that even someone as unreal as you still gets slapped by a rat now and then like that. Not as an insult, just as an "even the literal best players take shots like that." I know you heard it, I know you knew it was there, and you either made the decision to take the hit or maybe even did the classic "just one more shot then I'll and bash - ack." It's just kind of inspiring to see that the GOATs are still human, I guess. edit 2: your aim is unreal. super consistent. holy smokes.

@@shemsuhor8763 Glad you enjoyed, and I also appreciate your kind words it made my day! Yep, you're absolutely right, even the best of us makes mistakes. I will admit though I genuinely didn't think there would be a rat there, but that's just always the case with Vermintide though isn't it? We still have a lot to improve on, you'll notice throughout the run the team's temp health tends to be quite low so it means there's a lot of unnecessary damage we're still taking. But a win is a win at the end of the day so we'll take it.

Damn, I'm still new at this game and still having a hard time on champion diff. The amount of practice you and your friends have done is really amazing! I learnt so many new things from this video, like how to fight and space my attack while dodging to not get hit. But I wanna ask, how are you regenerating 3hp every few seconds? Was it from talents? Or something else?
@TrixMelee Жыл бұрын
That's the Waystalker's passive ability, I also chose the talent that shares it to the rest of the team. On the Official Realm this passive healing stops at 50% health, but with the Tourney Balance mod they made it more useful by removing that cap.

great run. personally though, halberd FK is really rough to run without any temp gen careers because you just die to attrition eventually - you can see they’re struggling with temp a lot through the run. mace and sword is a good option with stagger thp. you still do plenty of damage as well. but perhaps you wanted more CW damage with halberd?
@TrixMelee Жыл бұрын
Yeah I think Slav was just enjoying the Halberd at the time. The usual comp we did our runs with was with a Halberd Merc, he just changed to the Foot Knight as the runs progressed later into the night.
@slavknight1790 Жыл бұрын
exactly right, in previous runs I started with Merc and switched between greatsword and halberd. But as i got more fatigued i switched over to foot knight. imo the lack of temp hp was a good tradeoff to get that awesome crowd control foot knight provides. im also much more comfortable using halberd/greatsword compared to mace and sword for some reason🤠

im not sure if you will respond to this, but ive recently gotten into the game and im playing waystalker, so i thought to ask, what would you recommend to build for? i see you using hagbane but i wanted to ask what were the advantages of hagbane over longbow and in general what build you were specifically running?
@TrixMelee3 ай бұрын
With official realm balance I usually run a build like this for the Waystalker: www.ranalds.gift/heroes/7/112233/26-4-3-6/62-3-5-1/3-2-1/4-5-4/1-7-3 For the first talent row, THP on crit/headshot tends to be better on the higher tier modded difficulties where there's far more elites, and you sort of have to have a high headshot rate anyway to maximise DPS. For easier difficulties THP on cleave is most likely going to be feel more consistent, especially for newer players, but it's also most likely just going to be better overall due to less elites. Proxy is always good value when running with a team since it essentially doubles the amount of potions you have, but the other traits you can put on your charm (Concoction, or Decanter) can be useful depending on your preferences/playstyle or team comp. Decanter is nice with a hagbane when you have a strength potion, and concoction can be nice to recharge your ult if you're in trouble. Hagbane is really high DPS, it chews through any unarmoured units and can do some good damage to bosses as well, especially when you have a strength potion. Strength pot will also allow your hagbane to penetrate armour so that can be helpful if you need to kill a lot of elites quickly (i.e. a patrol). Hagbane on the official realm also serves as some good crowd control since it will stagger a lot of units. It's not as good at sniping specials when compared to a Longbow, so you will most likely want someone else there to help out, but on official realm if you're good enough the hagbane is more than enough to fill that role. Longbow is a good option as well and you can run that with a pretty similar build to my Hagbane one. For the last talent row you might want to pick a different option, and instead use the Conservative Shooter weapon trait as a means to sustain ammunition. The elf's longbow is one of the best sniping weapons in the game, if I wasn't using the Hagbane then I would most likely be using it instead. It's sort of the opposite of the Hagbane where it can excel at taking out individual units, rather than a crowd. If I recall correctly, the longbow has one of the highest headshot damage multipliers in the game so it's really nice to try and land them and that will be the fastest way to deal with a lot of special and elite units. The longbow will immediately kill units, whilst with the hagbane you will put a couple of shots into something and then have to wait a couple of seconds for them to die. This isn't really a concern and it shouldn't get you into trouble once you get a feel for it, but it is something you need to be aware of until then. As for melee weapons my go-to for all the elf careers is the Sword and Dagger. There's not much to say besides it just being incredibly versatile. It doesn't do anything poorly, and it gets the benefit that most dual wield weapons have where heavy attacks essentially act as 2 attacks (Because of the 2 weapons) which both grant temporary health separately. Dual Daggers can be a bit of fun as they do some of the best single-target dps in the game, but they aren't as safe when compared to other weapons since they do not cleave once you get past the early difficulties, and they also do not have as much stamina when compared to the other weapons. You can build around this though depending on the weapon properties you take. Spear can also be a bit of fun too. The other weapons I didn't list can also be decent, but their effectiveness can depend on your team composition. For the official realm you can make anything work, and all the weapons are viable, these are just the choices that immediately come to mind when I consider what I like to use on the Waystalker. As for what builds I would use with Tourney Balance (in modded difficulties), I can't really say since they've made a lot of changes since I've last played. But usually those builds are fairly close to what you'd use on the official realm anyway, and when you have a decent understanding of the game it's not too difficult to make the appropriate choices. If you want more information, Royale w/ Cheese's guides on Steam are good resources. He also has a Discord where people are more than happy to help out and answer questions. Here's a bunch of builds he's put together for Kerillian: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1833337461 Hopefully some of that helps!

@@TrixMelee wow that was really indepth, thank you a lot! this helped clear up some things, and i was using the headshot temp hp generation ability already, it just feats so much nicer overall, instead of needing a bunch of enemies you can gain thp regardless of the amount ur fighting and i find that nice i checked out the build and ill be sure to save it, it seems really cool, and one last question, do you have any recommendations on grinding for veteran items? edit: what is your opinion on briar javelins compared to other bows, same question with moonfire, i really doubt moonfire would be that useful on waystalker since it doesnt benefit from extra ammo cap but yeah, felt like i should ask anyway
@TrixMelee3 ай бұрын
Javelins can definitely work quite well on Waystalker. They're very good horde clear especially because of their cleave with the throw. It's also just fun to use them. They are very powerful but I think they were nerfed at some point? I can't really remember, but last I recall they're still pretty strong. At the very least I recommend giving them a go and make up your own mind. Usually I end up going back to the Longbow or Hagbane because I find them more enjoyable with the way I play. Moonfire used to be the best ranged weapon for all the elf careers but it got nerfed to the ground a few years back. I do not recommend it over the Hagbane, Longbow, Javelins, or the Staff that the Sister of the Thorn has. It can still be a bit of fun to use and it's not like it isn't viable, it just doesn't scale nearly as well as these other options. The best way to grind red items is to do deeds that reward two emperor vaults. There's a glitch you can do to choose deeds on any map or difficulty whilst still getting the full reward. Also, if I recall correctly, as long as the lobby host isn't the one selecting the deed then the deed will not be consumed. If you look around for deed glitch on youtube or reddit you should be able to find out how it works, it's relatively simple. Off the top of my head you just have someone select a mission, immediately accept it, and before everybody else in the lobby confirms the mission you go to the map in the keep and open the mission select screen up. Wait until the previous mission has been accepted by everyone (the portal should activate), then select a deed and have everybody accept it. Can now have everyone enter the portal and play as per usual. Because of how this glitch works you will need at least one other person with you, you cannot do it solo. Something to keep in mind is that whilst you are in a deed glitched mission nobody will be able to join in progress, and if the owner of the deed leaves/disconnects then the game will end. This is just because of how deeds work. There is a trick you can do to join a deed in progress, all you have to do is join somebody through Steam whilst you are in the middle of a loading screen. Another benefit to grinding reds this way is that you don't need to pick up tomes and grims if you don't want to. Whilst tomes and grims can be an interesting challenge early on in the grind it can get quite annoying repeatedly doing it. So with the deed glitch you can focus on just playing the game normally and really challenging yourself whilst still being rewarded quite handsomely. Bonus points of you decide to do deeds on Cataclysm because some of those mutators can get quite spicy.

Can I ask if the poison bow effect is also modded? I cant help but notice allies are not crying about being on the path of the arrow even though they are not hitting or when the enemies are in the front and allies are near, usually in my games the characters always immediately complains about friendly fire of this bow. I want to use this but the amount of friendly fire it gives on official realm is a bit too annoying and I'm having too much stress reading chat even though the damage was almost neglible as long as I dont directly hit them.

Dot based weapons comstantly damage your team and trigger voicelines, but your teams thp regen should generally greatly outweigh the ff. Its not as bad as your typical jav elf taking huge chunks at once but people tend to get stressed by the voicelines and ff effects so they complain
