Quake is underrated as hell

I genuinely think Quake is the best card in the game. It is underplayed, nobody is ready for it (and you can't, really). It straight up can instantly win you the game with some locations, and makes opponent play suboptimally with some others. It is 2/3, which very good statline for many strategies. It gives you opportunity to reenable strong locations after filling them, like Bar Sinister. And at the same time, it feels like a completely fair card, not frustrating to play against

Quake's definitely super underrated location control. Super cheap, highly reliable (unlike Scarlet Witch), and you get full control over how and when it effects you and your opponent. That she's so accessible helps a lot too. She's also a card with a lot of really interesting ways you can use her which change radically from game to game, and forces you to take into account things like priority more than Legion does. Really interesting, well designed card imo. Would be interesting to see a video about the best designed cards in Snap - not the most powerful, but cards with interesting and well balanced designs.

I'd say she's really niche. She's great at one job but that one job isn't something that common. If it's done correctly you can rug pull your opponent. At worst she's just a cheap 3 power card. Also her changed from requiring in the middle really make her more viable.

@@Hatemir12 that's totally fair I have a few decks I'm playing at the moment a surfer Galacta deck a Gilgamesh zoo list and the discard deck. They've all felt okay and good enough for me to be cube positive with them over a few games and I haven't run into any one deck a lot from my opponents side of things. Like I think the card I've seen most is wiccan but they've all been in different shells like how people are approved how to fill in their curve and what pay offs are is different enough

I love this kind of deck, even if it’s expensive. The 2-costs are some of my favorite card designs in the game, like U.S. Agent and Jeff and Thena and Mirage and Grandmaster.

I have thought about the idea of a Card that does something if you have a bunch of cards of the same cost Like "at the start of the game, if your starting deck has at least 10 cards that cost the same, play one of them at a random location" maybe the effect to strong, maybe not? If you summon a 6 drop well the penalty is you have 10 6drops in your deck, maybe the best would be 3 costs, in any case just a card that benefits with constructing with many cards of the same cost would be cool

I've found quite the success with this deck, but with some differences since I don't have some of the cards, like Maximus instead of Hydra Bob, and top it off with Angela, Kitty Pride, and Goose for control and constant power increase and added lockdown. I used to have the only 3-cost in Strong Guy, which was great since depending on your hand you can almost always empty your hand and it still had great success. It's incredible how functional this deck is.

Just a heads up on the grapple arrow / Spider zisland interaction: card effects happen before location effects, so Grapple arrow activates first then Spider Island will move it!

1:45 I think Goose is often overrated by people in this shell. There's too much Bounce and too much Surfer right now, not to mention accessible power through discounts or buffs, like Zabu, Sera, or Galacta. There are also Red Guardian and move problems too. So you end up playing a really weak power play without much utility. I'd rather have extra surprise cards or value cards.
