Hi there, i know Rich reads the comments but do you and Jamie? I made a point of saying hello to you all at Stoneleigh, though i must admit with Richie it was a case of camera envy after he showed me his tool!! Sorry. Well cancer has stopped me filming and fishing but i do learn from you all. I did enjoy Rich's film on simple silver fish tackle and try to learn somethingfrom every one of the video's you produce. But i still sing the praise of stotz for i find with Ballabeni shot to fix them in position, even using style pincers or flat nosed pliers that they damage fine 0.10 etc lines, Yes they can and do move at times but for a lot of anglers they are much easier to put on the line. Now i probably will not be around to watch it but i did suggest to both Andy and Jamie that i would like to see them tackle a challenge using just a cheap glass 3mtr whip with just simple baits and if possible a ready tied shop bought rig such as a beginner might well buy from the tackle shop and then demonstrate how by thinking how to catch. Now i did a video on catching small carp on a simple whip and rig and please watch it and think if i did this how much better a job your team would make of it. Andy i think having watched would be so much fun to watch and Jamie's more serious take would be so watchable and fun. I did mention this and Jamie at least nodded and said he thought it was an ok idea. How about showing a challenge with both having a short cheapest pole in the Map and Matrix range both companies would love the product coverage and while i know you aim at (serious!) Match anglers, there is an huge amount of anglers who don't or can't afford afford £1000 for a pole do own a short margin/power type pole, with maybe just 2 top kits, but Jamie and Andy could show them how to catch a lot of silvers and carp. I have pushed the short pole in my video's as i catch a lot of fish, both big and small on a short pole and know how much better presentation and more fish can be caught, in most venues. Sorry this is a bit long winded, kindest regards Bill

Plenty more challenges planned and we're currently looking at the best way to get some really basic but fun videos done aimed at people just getting into fishing or fishing there first match. Don't forget the £17 amazon set up we have used in a couple of challenges already. Hope you managed to get back out on the bank soon :)

Dude can you also include line size in old money as well as .15 and .12? I carry most stuff in my box but a scientific calculator I not got! so a simple 5lb or 3lb would proper👍🏼
@WinningWays2 жыл бұрын
Just look on the spool and you’ll have both, so no scientific calculators needed 👍🏻 We’ve started including it in more recent videos but this is an older one so won’t have it.

Brill vid Andy and Rich, just wondering if you could go through hook choice on commercials all year round thanks
@stevemccrory91303 жыл бұрын
Andy mentions some hooks in the video, but there are probably (likely to be) others. Summer = Guru Kaizen Autumn + Spring = Guru LWG or Super LWG Winter = Guru F1 Pellet or Gamakatsu Black

What float brand (and size) is being used?
@stevemccrory91303 жыл бұрын
It's a 4x12s hand-made float, so there isn't a specific brand.
@neilquinn72013 жыл бұрын
6mm or 4mm at this time of year? Which would you recommend?
@stevemccrory91303 жыл бұрын
Try to use an expander as close to the size that you're feeding as possible. Fish have seen the 4mm over micros so much that they are getting wise to the larger hookbait. Hooking a couple or even a single micro pellet could work, but try to find some 2.5mm expanders and fish one of them over your micros instead. Match yur hookbait to the size of fish you're targetting / expecting to catch. Micros + 2.5mm expander for F1s, 4mm soaked micros + 4mm expander for carp is a good scale to work with.
