Hello, Everyone. I have a Personal Opinion, on which I stand to be corrected. This is it: As far as the John Wick Franchise is concerned, Winston, in my esteemation, is The Deadliest Character. Why and How? Here are my Proofs:1)At the end of PART 1, he gave John an accurate intelligence report, viz a viz the Russian Mobster's Escape Plans and Helicopter 🚁. 2)In Part 2, he cautioned John against killing Da Santio, on hallowed (Continental Hotel) Grounds. An enraged John still killed Da Santio, anyway. Winston was shocked. Normally, he should have executed John, on the spot, á lá Perkins; The Lovely Female Assassin in Part 1. 3)After the above desecration, he had his (now late) concierge pick John up from the rubble that was his home, and bring him to a public place, where, there were over 100 assassins, under Winston's command. He only raised his hand, and they all focused on Wick, to which Winston quipped, "I just want to show you that I can kill you, right now, if I so desire." 3)At the end of Part 2, he declared John ex communicado, but, gave him an hour's headstart to flee. 4)In Part 3, he could have killed John (again!)in the Continental; yet, he used Wick's "Hunting Skills" to fight the assassins sent by the High Table, and regained (temporary) favour with the Table, and control of his Management. 5)At the end of Part 3, he shot John in his body mass; being very aware that his garments were armoured, causing Wick to fall from the Continental Hotel roof. He could have shot him in the head. For the umpteenth time, he SAVED WICK! He was ALWAYS saving and protecting him! 6)In Part 4, in the above short scene, he manipulated Wick into being his Hand; his Sword of Vengeance and Avenue for Restoration. He taught Wick what he should do; but, extended the deal by seeking and securing Reconstruction and Management Restoration with the High Table. 7)From John's end, he, clearly, has a very soft spot for Winston. Wick is not a very forgiving person. That Winstonian "assassination" cum fall from the roof at the end of Part 3 would have been an express death warrant, for another character, I tell you! 8)At the end of Part 4, at John's grave stone, Winston said Farewell in Russian, and called John, "My son". In view of all of the above, I believe that there's more to the Relationship between these two men, than even John knows. Winston might be his biological father. But,what do you think, Folks?
