When you finally know your intuition was right. Lol. Def I’d be going for the weird, quirky, more artsy place. 😅😅 I used to think I’d prob love to live somewhere like Austin. Ha ha. How bad could it be tho eh? Either way you’d not be too far from either one to have the best of both worlds seems like. Like 15 to 30 min drive? Lol. Piece of cake compared to trying to get to the other side of town here in the Atl. Lol. I think what’s amazing about these NC areas is that you have several separate cites all an hour or less away from each other. Plus about the same for mountains and more rural settings to visit. Meanwhile over here we’re just driving around Atl for two hours or such and it’s just suburb after suburb. Lol. I don’t think many US states offer that much variety tho. I also found Europe appealing Bcuz how quickly you could hop countries and just have tons of variety all around you. But I think NC would be good enough really for me. Lol.

you should revisit this topic every year or so. Greensboro's local entrepreneurial restaurant scene is exploding, especially downtown, but really all over town at the moment. Also the new Tanger Performing Arts Center has brought in hundreds of thousands of attendee's to see Broadway shows like Wicked, The Lion King, and Hamilton. All three of those shows have made a total local economy impact of around $35 million. That is HUGE for downtown Greensboro! And, that is not including all of the other concerts, comedy shows, lecture series and orchestral events.

That's a great idea! I just mentioned in another video that GSO was Top 20 in the county for new biz start up 2020-2022. I had no idea, but it sounds like exciting times are ahead!

Hi Jeff, Great Video.... Which in your opinion has a better trail system like gravel , dirt, Mtb'ing (non cement trails)? And, a larger housing supply where there are not folks lining up to make multiple offers above asking price to buy a home? (If there really is such a thing) I really made a mistake with my wife we focused on the Triangle (Cary, Raleigh Durham) and saw one bad area in Greensboro and left and Hit kind of a slow part of Winston Salem and went right to Asheville. That was three years ago and RDU area along with Chapel hill is probably not the right fit for me and neither is Charlotte. Thanks in advance! I liked the energy of greenville SC downtown if that is helpful.

Thanks for watching! Both areas have pretty crazy real estate markets rn. I'm more familiar with the Trails around Winston and know they have some good ones for mountain bikes. I believe GSO might have more biking trails in general through. I think Winston is closer to Greenville as far as downtown goes. Cheers!

GSO has lots of bike and hiking trails up in the wooded northern region. Lake Brandt has tons of trails to bike on.

I need to move to one of these cities so I can out of over-priced Florida. My plan is to sit tight until spring or summer 2023. Hopefully the home prices in NC don't sky rocket during that time. Also trying to time the interest rates that are on the rise. Where are you American Dream? 🤣
