Memories of the winter of '63. Travelling to Barry Grammar School for "Teaching Prac" and retreating to Union to get warm before trudging off to the flat in Adamsdown Square which was warmed only by one coal fire. Those were the days!!!

Cardiff has changed a lot since my student days in the 60’s, early 70’s, but this does capture some of the magic of being in the City with my new friends in that first term.

No one had the winter we had in '82! The snow was so bad it resembled Hoth) that all shops had no deliveries of basic milk, bread etc so we resorted to making bread and scones at the Halls of Residence for several days.
