That old truck cab has been out there for as long as I can remember... I remember seeing it all the time when I would go hunting with my grandfather and my dad at Hercules.

Good to know it’s been out there for a long time. It’s was super out of context for us and we thought it was awesome. Thanks for sharing and watching the video. Cheers

Great video buddy. Love these hiking and camping videos. You need to make more. The bullet holes in the cab. That drives me crazy - people are so irresponsible for shooting at a truck cab.

Yeah I need to make more trip videos like these. Moving out of our condo has been the priority over the last 6 months or so and getting ready for the big trip is obviously a little nerve racking.

This is how it was when we went the summer before this. The trails are very hard to follow but its absolutly beautiful.

We had a really good time. Did you do the entire loop or just the shorter one that we did?
@khaimann10482 жыл бұрын
@@OutdoorsPodcast shorter loop starting at the tower. I remember it feeling like going through several different ecosystems lol only bad part was the ticks. They were terrible especially for my dog.

Hey thanks City Wild! What are some of your favorite backpacking trails around missouri? Any big out of state trips coming up?
@citywild19824 жыл бұрын
Mudlick mountain has a great primitive site that we really liked. Aside from a surprisingly large amount of cans in the fire pit, it was a great hang. We also recently took a trip to colorado and hiked red rocks, and checked out buffalo bills grave and museum.

That looks like the eastern trailhead. I parked on the western trailhead coming in on Cross Timbers Road. I walked most of the western half of the trails. I never saw an old truck.

Justin I think you might be right sir! The truck was certainly a surprise. I was really hoping to cover more miles on that trip but we realized pretty quickly that we’d gotten to late of a start and neither one of us wanted to be night hiking an additional 8-10 miles that day. Sometimes you have to change your plans and focus on having fun.

Were you basically following the Tower trail out west and back east on Long Creek to Tower trailhead? Heading out next week, thanks

Hey sorry about the slow response. We did the short loop heading north and south, and were hoping to hike the tower trail later on before we tapped out.

Such a fun trail Wayne, I'm disappointed we didn't get to finish hiking that trail and see more of what that part of the state has to offer. Thanks for watching and thanks even more for leaving a comment. Cheers.
