Hello Timothy, you loose a bit of light and quality by shooting through the glass, but it's only noticeable in some circumstances. Photographing without extra glass is always better for the quality but the camo of the glass is a big advantage.

How on earth do you think all the nature documentaries get their shots, they manipulate the situation, some of them are filmed in studios
