You guys really need a smitty sled for your gear. Effortless pulling your gear across the ice and snow. Just get 2 old skis and a couple of 2x4’s to build. Thanks for the video.

Great to see you back!!! Great stuff. Keeping it light, fun and real. You guys have an infectious great attitude. PB pickerel tally!!!! Count it. A big dry duffle for just your sleeping items is the way to go. Keep it all packed up after drying when home. When you’re getting ready to leave for the ice just grab the bag and go. Saves packing anxiety and keep your pillow dry. I place my bait buckets inside a 5 gallon pail with a screw top for traveling. Any water sloshing out or a breakage from gear smashing around is caught in the 5 gallon pail. Those two tips were game changers. Especially when traveling by snow machine. Keep up the GREAT work. And Chris should definitely grow a handle bar mustache for the season.

I love that y'all made it your own traps and personally I'm a big "if it ain't broke don't fix it", guy, but if you ever do look to upgrade, an ifishpro could be something y'all might really enjoy! You can hook them to your phones via Bluetooth and then if you're ever out and the weather is bad but you still wanna fish, you can be notified on your phone when the flag is up! I can't think of the name of the house at the moment...but it was one that would eliminate the need for a tarp. One less thing for y'all to hoof around lol. I realize all things come with time and growth and I just found y'all's channel, but I really enjoyed your video and look forward to seeing more!!

I learned a tip from a canoeist about keeping sleeping gear dry, which I am paranoid about. A comment below mentioned dry bags. I put my sleeping gear and a merino base layer in a stuff sack, put that in a heavy duty plastic garbage bag, put that in a second stuff sack oriented opposite to the first, then put the whole shebang in a canoeist dry bag. Probably overkill but wet stuff can kill you in the cold. Good video by the way.

Just a helpful hint. Pick up some anti-fatigue mat, flip a bucket upside-down on it, mark around the rim, then cut that circle out. Cut a small notch on one side. You now have a lightweight hole cover that keeps the snow out and pretty much keeps the hole from freezing. Eliminates having that slush you have to skim out etc

Lots of great tips. Carbon Monoxide Detector. Something like camp dry sprayed on the seams and a smitty sled build to make walking out easier. A tip I didn’t see mentioned was I always put my sleeping bag, pillow and extra clothes in a dry bag. Staying dry will keep you warm and no one wants to sleep on a wet bed. And if worst case your heater broke, you would stay warm. They’re pretty cheap at places like Walmart and sierra. Worst case a big ass heavy duty trash bag works too!
