When I was a kid in high school, way back in the 1980s, I had a big black cat named, Jeffrey that would follow me way out into the woods or he would just show up at my campsite about 1/2 of a mile from the house, and he would hang out all night. Companions like that are a gift from God.

I recently adopted a dog and idk if my cat's jealous or worried about him but he's now taken to trailing us all over the neighbourhood when I take my dog out on walks. I'll be minding my own business on a street a mile away and here that "mrrrrrrph" noise and there's my cat rubbing up against my ankles. I love these surprise cat appearances!

We used to camp with our 2 dogs. They loved it. They went fishing with us, swimming, etc. I miss them. I have always had multiple of cats, have 1 now. Animals are great. you had a lovely camping night with your pals. 😺💞

Reminds me of my 19 pound cat in the Michigan snow. He used to face out and watch, also. He's resting in peace in heavenly woods now. Loved the shelter! I'm going to go fry a steak now.

I am in Lakewood, Washington and it’s 25° outside with about 2 inches of snow on the ground. Its cold! I am sitting here with a cup of Hot Chocolate and My Kitties one on each side watching you camping! I feel like I am right with You! When My daughter was a teenager she had a cat that would go camping with us. People thought we were craZy! My daughter is almost 40 and those trips are fond memories! Have a Blessed Day Brook! 💖

I traveled in a van with my cat for a year and half and we camped quite a bit. I remember the first night when we were in NE camped on a lake in my tent. I let Sophie roam around outside and she came in sometime in the middle of the night soaked from the dew that was all over the grass. OF COURSE she wanted to snuggle in the sleeping bag with me LOL. And OF COURSE I thought it was the cutest thing. I'm sorry to hear about Jessie. He is probably lounging somewhere by a fire in Heaven.

thats sooo amazing having your cat with you.. I love it I found out that dogs dont chew their food because they dont actually release analyse in their spit to start the digestion of carbs, because dogs are predominately meat eaters, its best raw and if you watch wild wolves etc, they usually go for the organs first.. just something I found out recently..

You've demonstrated several shelters and now it's hard to choose! 1. A crude semi-perminent shelter. 2. Home-made cook/heating stove for overnight heat. 3. Drip coffee maker. 4. Simple menu; meat only with frozen strawberries. 5. Companion who enjoys the snow.

Hi Jesse! Campi' cat! So cool! Your pan reminds me of my mom's cast iron egg pan. It had only been used for eggs for 3 generations of women! All of her cast iron had specific uses. And don't mix them up! 😮😂 I'm watching this in 2024! Not a dud winter this year! I watch a channel called Truck House Life and the guy, Timmy Johnson, lives in Alaska. Wow! He's had tons of snow! And wind!

We lived in Florida for 32 years...left Florida because I ( my husband didn't mind it) could not stand to be there for one more summer. We live in North Carolina now and like it a lot better. We originally came from Massachusetts to Florida...so now that we have moved halfway back we call ourselves "halfbacks".

@@lisasescapades - North Carolina has a lot of diversity. We have the ocean and the mountains and everything in between.! The weather varies also according to the area. We lived in Leland, NC which is just outside of Wilmington. The mosquitoes were awful. Where we are now, we can be outside at night and no mosquitoes. Leland had the threat of hurricanes because it close to the ocean. So, decide what lifestyle you want and then select the area.

RIP Jesse! 😢 He reminds me of my Cat “No Name” She loves going camping with me. She’s a long haired white and grey kitty. She just loves being outside with me. When my sister came over and we camped out in the woods in my backyard no name slept with my sister the whole night. She was tickled to death.
