Aye Gary it’s super hard in winter. I mean they can be hard to catch in the best conditions through summer so it’s no wonder it’s this tough in winter. Keep at it yourself mate

Hey fellas 🖐, I'm with you on the method feeders, it's just like using a solid bag to me but quicker and cheaper. Solid bags have their place but the method certainly does too in my opinion 👍

My favourite venue in Yorkshire, the fish you see in my profile pic is a Carp called Cut tail who then weighed in at 29lb 1oz from Raker lakes, sadly he passed away in 2015 from a bad fishing rig which ended up tethered to a tree branch 😢

Yeah had my fair share from Raker but moved to Scotland in 2014 so don't get much of a chance to fish down there these days.

Yer right about the snobbish specimen carp anglers attitude to Methods. For close fishing you can get away wi moulding some micro pellets around an inline lead, especially small leads about an ounce or so. Very subtle version of the method feeder. I've had some belters using it.

@@FreshFishing Diabetes and Cushing's disease killed him would have been 13 this year another Jack Russell he was I miss him loads mate .He fought till the end he died in my arms at the vets .Atleast he's not suffering now bless him.
