You need thermal wear if you freeze easily and want to survive the cold winter in Toronto, Canada. Uniqlo is a Japanese brand and has a subbrand called "Heattech", innerwear/thermal wear that I've been using since I arrived in Canada, for the last 5 years.

In this video, I'll share with you what I think about Uniqlo's heattech. I'll show you what the women's and men's heattech tops look like, how warm they are, and whether I think they're worth buying. Share with me your thoughts and comments about this in the comments section!

That sounds right! You can even layer to tops, just remember to adjust the sizes so they fit nicely on top of each other and are not squished.

These thermal looks like macroman wonder series and jockey international series thermal. Heat tech technology and poly fill heat technology impact your bones through regular use and heat tech synthetic should be used in 12 degree or below temperature due to non resistance power like Marino wool and cotton thermal

Got both shirt + tights at Ultra Warm, M, Black. It was sold at a discount around ~$24 Canadian. I'm enjoying it as my pajamas at night. Slept well and woke up, no sweat. I can also use it for when I'm going to trips up the mountains or colder areas. I'm in a country where 20C to 30C is the average. I may consider S next time if they're making another discount in the future for my collection.

I love your videos, your style and how you vlog. However, if someone is watching your videos from outside Canada, you portray the Toronto (to say Canada is misleading as it’s a huge country) as a super freezing, cold all the time city. Meanwhile, TO average January temp is +1, 0. high Celsius. That’s about as cold as it gets except for a bunch days where it’s super cold and some where it’s very mild, like majority of current winter. It’s rare to have a long stretch of days below -5 during the day in Toronto. 6 months of winter? Really?🤣 I do really love your channel but wish you didn’t portray SW Ontario as Antarctica 🥶 It’s misleading.
@LivinginCanada
@LivinginCanada Жыл бұрын
Thank you! You're right, Toronto only gets to minus 20° on a few days, while most other days hover around -5°-0° C. As this video focuses on matching clothing to temperatures, I didn't point that out. After 5 years in Toronto I've really gotten used to 0 degrees, and don't feel that cold. But from the perspective of people coming from the tropics where it's 35° C all year, like I did, it does feel super freezing and even 0° C is unbearable for many (Starting November-April). Thanks for your comment though! It's a good idea for another video where I can perhaps illustrate how the distribution of the temperature is.
@kikky811
@kikky811 Жыл бұрын
@@LivinginCanada 100% agree it would be a huge difference and shock to someone moving here from the tropics. However, for the average North American winter (excluding southern states of course), Toronto is not super cold, even in the winter. There are a few snow storms and a few days, sometimes weeks were it dips below -10 and colder (daytime) but it’s fairly rare for this area of Canada/Ontario. It just varies hugely in Canada. While we enjoyed +15 Celsius last week, people were skating on frozen lakes in Quebec City! Only 9 or so driving hours away. I often feel like people from other places think it’s like this everywhere in Canada and most of the year too 😜. It is true though that during certain months (usually all of November and mid-March to mid April) we can experience all 4 seasons in the same week. It’s crazy how the weather fluctuates during those shoulder months. One minute you’re wearing a parka and the next we have a heatwave of +30. Haha Anyway. Love your video idea.

Just saw this! Yes that's true, I don't find it that cold anymore, I've acclimated I guess! KZbin doesn't automatically show new replies to already replied comments, hence the very late reply. Thanks for contributing, I think this is very insightful for people coming here!
