Hi Erin. We stopped at the farm store tonight on our way back home to Iowa from the Yellowstone. We were later than we wanted to be because we got held up in a traffic stop for 1 hour and 20 minutes due to a semi crash. You were gone at a meeting in town but Jeff had the open sign still out and we stopped in. He sold us a couple shirts and some beef sticks. We had a real nice visit with him and compared Iowa to here. I raise Ile-De-France sheep and use to help my Dad with his cows before he retired. I raise corn and beans and Iowa is so much different than out here. You have a beautiful ranch. I wish you could have some of our rain. We are at about 28 inches for the year. Good luck with the rest of your haying. Thanks for the great content you provide for our viewing. Thanks Jeff for the hospitality and conversation. Bill and Connie Fett

Thoroughly enjoyed your post Erin, as always! Youre truly a joy! Thank you for sharing and teaching us... If you ONLY knew, girl, I couldn't grow dirt from self care dirt piles in the middle of the desert OR a forest! Thank you for explaining the Carrots and them hanging out, that explains a "Carrot Tree " (everything to her was a 'tree') my 4 yo Daughter grew in a pot that she was able to pull up Christmas Eve to feed Santas reindeer and it looked AMAZING! I had no clue.. shes not a Novice Master Carrot grower after all HA! (we wont tell her, shes still proud of herself and her reindeer treat carrot tree that lived and grew a huge treat, between that and her and her brothers planting JELLY BEANS the weekend of Easter and EB (Easter Bunny) makes them 'grow into lollipops' when he stops by, they get to 'pick' them Easter Morning, straight from their Jelly Bean Garden (they are 'planted' on floral foam in a pot, covered with crafting reindeer moss, perfect for the sucker sticks to hold the lollipops up) she can be a bit of a " I know more than you Mom," planter.. 😂 Have a wonderful week and be blessed!

Erin, with your love, excellent care, and gentle patience Ethel will feel better physically and emotionally. Yes, they are animals but even in nature, animals surely mourn the loss of a baby. Even though I don’t have a patch of dirt to plant in, I sure enjoy watching and learning from you!! Another great video knocked out of the park!!

Great video Erin! I've enjoyed getting to know you. I've learned so much about gardening from you. I'd love to see more videos, but I know they are time consuming and you have so much to do as it is. Ethel has the post partum blues. She misses her baby and she's been through a lot. Love and patience will help along with getting back to her routine. She probably still has a bit of pain and antibiotics make you feel crappy. She just needs time. Keep up the awesome job you're doing!

Sorry but I laughed my head off at Ethel's grumpy attitude. It brings back memories of some of the animals I had once. Anyway, loved the video. Learned some things about winter planting. Thanks.

Erin I have a question. I planted cucumbers and squash very close to each other. Was wondering will they grow successfully vertically if they are bunched together? Or do I need to find them a new spot and space them out. Hope u see this 😊💜💛

So much information!! Who knew! Great tips and tricks for tools and planting much appreciated! Gardens look great Erin. So you have 2 high tunnels....how many other gardens are you actively planting in, and what would be the square footage there abouts with all those combined? I'm guessing some people don't know how MUCH garden space you are working.

Erin, just curious do you grow tomatos ?
@CharlesLScofieldJr5 ай бұрын
Are the sweet potatoes grown from seed or is it like regular potatoes that grow from actual potatoe pieces. I forget what they actually call them. Also do you have a problem with rabbits? I live in the Denver area of Colorado. We have rabbits everywhere so that would be the one thing that keeps me from wanting to start a garden.
