Your observations about where in the drift the fish were taking is something I see often change from day to day one the same water. Some days they hit at the very end of the drift with a draggy bottom banging approach, other times the takes are throughout the drift suspended and not bouncing bottom. It’s one of the first things I am looking for when figuring out what the fish are doing

Lance - What type of leader setup do you use with this technique? Also, I have this same Sage ESN Rod... I know this a Euro Rod and I'm going to get hammered for even asking (internet police).. However, do you ever switch reels and throw dries with this rod? If so, do you go with a 3 weight fly line?
