Great video; really nice fish too. At 11:38 it looks like you spooked another good fish. But still a great video. Keep it up!

Really good video, thanks for sharing! I don't there but just curious what kind of flies they are eating.

@@buddygregory8466 midges, midges, and more midges!!! That’s wintertime tailwater fishing! Sometimes leading with an egg or a small stonefly (hares ear, pheasant tail, two bit, etc) can lead to better bites. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the kind words 😎

Question about fly rods. For Christmas this year, my parents are getting me a new fly fishing set/combo, and I need to see what weight should I get? I’m between the 5 wt and the 6 wt. The flies I’m going to use are going to be mostly size 12-18, and I’m going to be fishing for trout and probably steelhead.

@aminehaouchine that’s an awesome question! I would say upfront that neither rod is going to cover both species, both 5 and 6wts are trout rods that can be used for other species but nothing quite as big as a steelhead. Between those two rods, however, I would recommend a 5wt since it can do just about everything you’d need to on an average trout excursion. But if you have a 5wt already, then get the 6 and use it for streamers, nymphing, and hopper dropper fishing! Having a diverse rod quiver will open you up to more opportunities. Separate note, for steelhead rods, I would suggest an 8wt as your do-all, depending on where you’re chasing steelhead. Hope this helps and enjoy the new setup. Merry Christmas and thanks for watching

@ thank you so much. So I will go with the 5 wt, and it’s gonna be my second fly rod. My first rod is a 8’6” 5/6wt, the only issue with it is the reel and it’s poor quality. That why I’m upgrading do to a better quality. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

I think the Blue is worth it but it is normally extremely crowded, as crowded as Deckers. The fish are fun but I don't find them as fighters. They kind of just give up.
