It seems that originally, both Puchiko and Dejiko were originally supposed to work in the same place, and the senior elder female co-worker was supposed to be Aiko or even Hikaru/Rabbi~en. Then again, Winter Garden was supposed to be a long running TV series, at least close to the original Galaxy Angel or even just the original Di Gi Charat. They probably need McDonald's sponsorship to air the show, or at least what's left of the project. The issue is that, the people who worked on Winter Garden seemed to be different than the ones from the previous series. (Ignore the Credits, it tends to have executive people who only signed their names) Plus, it seems that Winter Garden was originally a non-Di Gi Charat story that got rebranded as a Di Gi Charat story (ala the Di Gi Charat Fantasy game). Besides, the most popular Di Gi Charat series is actually the Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat (ぱにょぱにょデ・ジ・キャラット) series. If only Takuro is more like that Pegas' Prince. pbs.twimg.com/media/ChH24KwU0AA32n1.jpg pbs.twimg.com/media/ChH24W8UkAAVXdf.jpg Imagine, a Princess and a Prince from far away planets, having an unexpected reunion at Earth after all of these years. pbs.twimg.com/media/ChR-D7hU8AEES-f.jpg That's why I proposed a new Di Gi Charat series named Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat Nyo (ぱにょぱにょデ・ジ・キャラットにょ). That took place today, more than one and a half decade after Panyo Panyo. Featuring teenagers who are the younger sisters of the previous characters, who looked exactly like their older sisters. Except for Aqua, who only aged slightly, therefore she's kept. Hey, it's surely better than Di Gi Charat: Frozen Garden. The sisters travelled a lot ever since their Dragoon 2 days. pbs.twimg.com/media/CtNK4VoUAAc2uUF.jpg pbs.twimg.com/media/CfKoUEIUEAA6KYy.jpg pbs.twimg.com/media/CfKoUVzUYAApvRW.jpg pbs.twimg.com/media/CfKoUgKUsAAKdc2.jpg 'SEGA / Sonic Team' are actually their unofficial agents, who contracted them to various companies. Like her older sister, Puchiko is actually one of their unused hedgehog designs (see also GA's Milfeulle). Her boomerang hair is supposed to be flight capable (see also Team (Rabbi~en~)Rose chasing after Chocola/Dejiko in the movie). She later on got a job at Arcadia, Rush Adventure, and Boom/Toon. 7th Dragon's Aiteru is basically Puchiko. With her older sister Emeru/Emerl is Dejiko. pbs.twimg.com/media/CfpLyuxUkAAEHer.jpg pbs.twimg.com/media/CfpLy8QUUAAmT2I.jpg 'Let It Nyo'/#LetItNyo if you understands. They're not the only two sisters available though. Other examples are: Sheryl (シェリル) and Melty (メルティー) from Beast Breeders (ビーストブリーダーズ). pbs.twimg.com/media/Cgl60xdU4AAHzXA.jpg Orha (オルハ) and Isha (イーシャ) from Ys Ark of Napishtim (イースIV ナピシュテムの匣). petespileofshame.files.wordpress.com/2016/06/ys-vi-the-ark-of-napishtim-feature-672x372.jpg Then there's also one more sisters couple, who also picked up a random stranger and then nursed him back to health. An Eagle seems to have brought him, or maybe it was a Tomcat…? A Phoenix later on took him though…

U seem to know a lot about Di Gi charat and Broccoli in general. Where did you get the info abt winter garden? I just finished Winter Garden and tho I enjoyed it I wondered what exactly was the point of the series. As you said it was originally unrelated to Di Gi Charat which sounds believable because it felt like they just shoved a bunch of Di Gi Charat references and made it related to Di Gi Charat just to boost its popularity. Hell Dejiko acts almost nothing like she does in any other series (even tho in this case it makes sense, since she's 20 here so it wouldnt be right to make her act exactly the same). Again, this is not a diss to Winter Garden, I enjoyed it and I think Dejiko having a love interest is an interesting idea, but I'm just a little confused lol.

It's common for guys to hang around in a restaurant, watching cute girls (like in maid customes ala Dejiko). And nope, it's NOT a 'only in Japan' thing, it's very common worldwide. It's common for each restaurant to have their own 'mascot' ('Store Girl'), a.k.a. their own 'Maneki Neko'. They usually only ordered drinks, to make their stays longer. But Puchiko stuffed him with so many high value items, he would be out soon. The guy only asked for Cola, but Puchiko gave him a Premium Big Mac (_Value Set_, one of the most pricy menu), and still insists on it eventhough he says only Cola. Then she added fries to 'his order' without _HIS_ permission, as 'punishment'? Note that, restaurants usually make most of their profits out of drinks, not foods. Puchiko's moves could cost the restaurant, a LOT. Plus she 'harasssed' the Customer. That's why Manager Makudo (Makudonarudo/MacDonald's) begged her to be less frisky, asking her on not to harass the Customer so much. Standard Operating Procedure (SOP): "May I have some money, Sir? May I have some more money, Sir? May I have some even more money, Sir? Thank you, Sir. Please come again." Puchiko Operating Procedure (POP): "Give me ALL your money! Thanks. NEXT!" Puchiko was given a dispensation though, because her cuteness attracted a lot of Customers, who seemed to be Masochists. But maybe it's best if she just stays still. Too bad Takuro isn't here, right Puchiko? Puchiko would've drained his bank account…

If Di Gi Charat(デ・ジ・キャラット)'s Puchiko(ぷちこ) is a Pokemon(ポケモン), she would've beaten Meowth(ニャース) in terms of 'robbing people blind'. Payday(ネコにこばん/猫に小判) indeed. Remember this is the same girl who added so many zeroes into Piyoko's 'rental fee' for the shack on top of Gamers.

If only TBS aired more of this McD/MacD/MD instead of that MacD. Anyway. Since the beginning, you can see the Customer was already mesmerized by Puchiko, and how Puchiko screwed up his order, Big Mac style! When Puchiko about to prepare 'his' Big Mac, he said "A… Kora da ne…", which roughly means "Ah… It's Cola, well…" It actually refers of him confirming his order is a Cola, but was given a Big Mac by mistake (or maybe FORCED?). It's a _VALUE SET_, a _VERY HIGH PRICED_ menu. When Puchiko asked his drink, he replied "Kora imasu ne…", which roughly means "It's Cola, well…" Which means he still only asked for Cola, but Puchiko still served him Big Mac anyway, and he's going to take it. Worst, 'Your fries are medium, right?'. NO 'Would you like fries with that?' She gave an order, not a request. Puchiko is a Sadist, when the guy still requests a Cola and not a higher priced drink, she forced fries on him to 'shut him up'. Based on this: www.kanaday.com/mcdonald.html He ordered a 100~200 Yen (1~2 US Dollar) Cola, but was given a 600~700 Yen (6~7 US Dollar) Premium Big Mac. And suffice to say, Puchiko just 'tears the Customer apart' for his money, without asking for permission.

They were planning to show a little of a man's psyche in the form of the Customer(s), as in he hides his feeling when she's around, but shows it when she's gone. That's why they showed the differences between seeing Puchiko and not, and ended with her standing but in a cute 'I'm hiding pose'. It WAS supposed to be: Stand, 'she's around, better play it cool.' Hide, 'She's SO CUTE!' Stand, 'she's around, better play it cool.' Hide, 'She's SO CUTE!' Stand, 'she's around, better play it cool.' Hide, 'She's SO CUTE!' Stand with hiding pose, 'I CAN'T STAND IT!' But gussed they thought they joke is a bit too complex for audience, or at least the test audience. So they inverted it, but still kept the 'She's SO CUTE with her hiding pose' ending. It's tempting to say they want to give the impression that men are honest and show their feelings right away. But the entire point of the Winter Garden series is about a man's dishonesty, as in his inability to announce his feelings, a contrast to the last THREE Di Gi Charat series. Well, there's at least one guy in Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat who isn't completely honest with his feelings… pbs.twimg.com/media/ChH24KwU0AA32n1.jpg The same goes for Dejiko… pbs.twimg.com/media/ChR-D7hU8AEES-f.jpg They were planning to hitch Dejiko with 'Shadow the Hedgehog'. pbs.twimg.com/media/ChH24W8UkAAVXdf.jpg

While it might looked strange on why the normally capable Puchiko somehow 'messed up' a Customer's order, or even worst, FORCED an order to a Customer (look at her uncaring comical eyes). It fits in with the concept of her as the selfish and spoiled youngest daughter princess, who only used to serve herself and have people served her. Oh, Puchiko is a capable and independent woman, but she's just not used to serving people. She's just used on being served and serving herself. Miyuki Sawashiro (沢城みゆき) was just using her 'I don't care, I want that' demanding personality here, just like when she voiced for Galaxy Angel's Mint in that Di Gi Charat's Broccoli related sibling series. 'You will order a Premium Big Mac, a Coke, a Medium Fries, and you will LIKE it!' Dejiko being the (known) Oldest daughter (child?), who loves her little sister so much; actuallly developed quite some servitude personality in her.

Other than shoving a Premium Big Mac and a Medium Fries to a Customer who wants only a Cola; Puchiko seems to have violated a lot of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This clip actually seemed to serve as an edutainment, don't do what Puchiko did. Like that Krusty Krab employee education video, 'Don't be a Squidward/Puchiko'. Nevertheless, the standard list of procedures are: 1. Show the Menu to the Customer. 2. Take his order. 3. Confirm his order. 4. Ask if he wants more + suggest him. 5. Make a final confirmation of his order. 6. Take his money & register the sale. 7. Prepare & give him his food. In a non Fast Food restaurant, 6 & 7 are reversed. Give food first, then take the money and register the sale. If that restaurant only accept US Dollar and you have none of it, tough luck on living in the Digital World. For Puchiko, she either carelessly or knowing violated 3~5. She did not confim his order, she did not ask for more and suggest a Menu, then she did not make a final confirmation. She just in a WAGAMAMA way put HER own order as HIS order. The Medium Fries seems to be a 'punishment' from her to the Customer, for him on insisting to still have a Cola and not a Premium Big Mac, plus not having a more high priced drink. For 6~7. It might be hard to adjust if you're used to work in a non fast food restaurant. In Winter Garden; Puchiko and Dejiko worked in two different working enviroments. Now to think of it, back at Gamers, the ones who run the cash register were usually Rabbi~en and Dejiko. Puchiko doesn't seem to adjust very well in a register enviroment, eventhough she is now at the proper height.

To make it looked as if Puchiko had a BIG fanboys fanbase at MacDonald's, the Animation Director basically just copy one Character Design into multiple characters. Or they intentionally done this to give that surreal comical look. It's a cheap old trick. Live & Learn…
