Winter in Passo Tonale 🇮🇹 PF 2022

Dude this is one of my favorites! Great time lapses also. A great thing to try would be to have no music playing but just create a sound design effects to match the visuals: sounds of winds howling, the skiers, etc. Jaroslav your videos keep improving!

Thanks a lot, Ted! 🤩 You are completely right about the sound design... Music allows you to hide a lot of imperfections, editing video without the music is way more harder exercise. I will try it for some of the next videos... I read in the book 'Art of Cut' that some Hollywood editors edit the scenes completely muted to make sure that the scene works without sounds and music. Thanks so much, my friend! 😀👍🏻Almost all the mountain pass area is a national park, so it is not allowed to fly there... But I found this small spot, where it was allowed and returned there several times after skiing to record and fly... Which explains so small variety in the shots&time :)))

Thanks a lot, Gerald! 👍🏻 😀 Majority of them were recorded with the small DJI Pocket 2 camera, the last one with the Canon R5 by my friend Petr. Commonly it was shots 3 seconds apart for 20 minutes, which creates ~14 seconds timelapse, done in manual exposure mode.

That's so true :)) I even have a small, great app on the mobile "Sun Surveyor", which tells me about the right time on location :) And I've got the small flashing light mounted on the back of the Mini 2, so I can see it well in the dark and be compatible with the official rules for flights at night.

I've got this one: www.firehousetechnology.com/store/p115/Firehouse_ARC_%22V%22_Drone_Strobe_Spot_Light_1000_Lumen_%3A_FAA_107_Compliant.html it has 12 grams and Mini 2 is commonly around 238g real weight, so it fits so-so :)) Also this one is approved as it has required visibility of 3 nautical miles. Depending on the country, I think in EU you need to have a white strobe light, but I bought all three colors in the pack and most commonly use the red when I fly during the day (as it helps during the day as well). I mounted it on the back, on the battery door. It comes with the strong velcro sticker from 3M.

Díky moc, Petře! 😀Nu, chtěl jsem tam toho natočit trochu více, ale skoro celá oblast je národní park, kde se nesmí lítat, ani s malým dronem. Tak jsem na té mapě našel kousek od města místo, kde se dalo a chodil jsem tam na procházky :)) Co by člověk pro pár záběrů neudělal, že? :)) Přeji Ti vše nejlepší do nového roku a spousty prima horských výletů! ✨🙋🏻‍♂️

Thanks! 😀 Surprisingly, almost all area of the Passo Tonale is covered as a no-fly zone... So I find out this small corner on the map above the town, where it was allowed and went there few times to make some timelapses and fly... DJI does not have it properly in their DJI Fly app, but the official italian drone map labels it as a national park and no-fly area...
