It's because we have an immense amount of strays in our country. Only on my street, there's tens of cats, at least 3 dogs. I can feed only so much. Definitely more cats than humans and they make tens of babies every year, too. I was feeding a young kitten and she left 3 babies on our balcony in March. We fed them and she got pregnant 2 months later again. There's no end to it. It's not a people problem, it's a government problem. Also look at those cats... They don't look like they are starving physically, they don't look dirty. They live better than some of us. People definitely give them food. That's Turkey for you.
