Those cows are in great condition. Lovely to see motherless may going for the fresh bite. Maverick my favourite is looking exceptional. Ponies are very lively, love the names. Thanks for a lovely update

Thank you Marie. She's a real surviver. And yes maverick turned into a lovely heifer. Will be interesting how good of a mother she'll be.

Brilliant love watching reminds me of my grandparents farm in west Cork in the sixties had a lot of shorthorns and whiteheads
@seanofalluinregenerativefa4569Ай бұрын
Super stuff pat great to hear you enjoy them. The Shorthorn is definitely a breed I learned to love when I was young too. Something very old Ireland about them

Its amazing how the grass outcompetes the rushes with Regen practices. The ponies really like the movements onto fresh pasture. I'm surprised more people don't move their horses and ponies on daily moves.
@seanofalluinregenerativefa4569Ай бұрын
Well Lee yes I'm very excited for the next level of regenerative farming. The ponies are a real benefit when on the move . On the same note there a real land destroyer when managed correctly

@seanofalluinregenerativefa4569Ай бұрын
Absolutely Colman and after getting the bullock back I'm super pleased with the galloways. I have to give credit too to the shorthorn when there crossed. Very excited for 2025🙌

Cattle looking well Sean maverick is coming into a nice heifer, your bull is very quiet & content in the videos is he quiet in general? Will u hold him for next year r sell him there a nice cross on your cows.
@seanofalluinregenerativefa4569Ай бұрын
Thank you Mr onion yes he is very quiet. I've seen him act bullish once with strange cattle close by. I'll not be holding on to him he didn't turn out like I need conformation wise. Maybe I'm wrong but I have a type in my head and he's not it. I think he's leggy funny enough and him a beltie. Gone to show we can find a lot of verify in a breed

Great video again Seán, do have those little dung beetles in your area?
@seanofalluinregenerativefa4569Ай бұрын
Well padraig thank you .yes we do .if we look down at the dung we see all the hole they make into it .Allowing the elements to interact and help break it down . Lovely to see🙌

You don't mind rushes on your land. Are their no sprayers in your Country
@seanofalluinregenerativefa4569Ай бұрын
Well David its a long story to be honest. But my thoughts are the rushes are there for a reason. I could top spray top spray spend a heap of money and be no further on .infact I'd have just damaged the biology even move and created the perfect environment for more topping and spraying topping and spray. So I allow the soil to speak to me in its on language. Its up to us to take heed or go to war I'm a never ending cycle

What kinda acreage do u farm sean
@seanofalluinregenerativefa4569Ай бұрын
We have around 35 acres lad . Tight enough tbh
@MickymaxywonderАй бұрын
@seanofalluinregenerativefa4569 That's a nice plot it looks like prosperous soil too, your doing a good job sean keep it up. I like watching your stuff you have a fantastic sense of humour and personality and with that goes progress so best of luck sean I'm sure u will expand it over time 😉
@adammac4381Ай бұрын
Sean, rushes die if their roots are exposed to air,,,, or the soil is adequately aerated. Whilst your regen cattle moves is improving everything,, its not exactly doing anything for rushes. So the effects of set stocking from yester-year and wet soil compression is still there. If you ever get the chance, do a few grubb plows or if you can borrow /rent a non inverted plow,,,, thats the ticket
