Another sic bassline, sounds like early acid house with a modern twist, thumbs up.

Love what did with the delay and verb through the freeze. Brilliant textural idea!
@DivKid

I find it a shame the freeze passes audio sometimes. So I try to mess with the audio before into it usually. I would like a mode where it passes nothing unless it's active.

I like the idea of being able to use it as either a drum or pitch sequencer, presumably together if you want. Pity its fairly expensive but still.
@DivKid
@DivKid 6 жыл бұрын
Yeah I use it for both. Drums with some modulation (using the pitch as a modulator for the drums) and then one or two synth voices.

@@DivKid it is a great sequencer and very easy to use.

This and Vector are my favorite sequencers for Eurorack.

How do you think this compares to Erica Black Sequencer? I love the red buttons in the middle that shows the track which seems better than in Erica. But Erica has more features as I understand.
@DivKid
@DivKid 4 ай бұрын
I haven't used the Erica enough to really compare and I've used the Eloquencer loads. Not saying the Erica is better, just that for me speed and muscle memory beats everything else a lot of the time. Considering I'm having to turn things around quickly a lot of the time with how I use modular for video work etc.

Kieren Moore Agreed, thats the vibe these instruments/sound tools should give, not feel like a scary science lesson. The module looks very fun.

yeah I thought with all the 8 tracks and features it would be more of a learning curve but it's really to get going.

I'm hesitating between the Erica Black Sequencer and the Winter Modular Eloquencer, any advise ? For your information I'm not so beat oriented I'm making more long modulating pieces. Thanks

I can't decide on this or the Varigate 8+ and Voltage Block combined. Which would be better for live performance Ben?
@Natemasterflex
@Natemasterflex 6 жыл бұрын
Mark McCarthy I have both and like both equally so far for different reasons. I’ve only had the Eloquencer for about a month and still getting used to it. The Eloquencer is more focused on probabilities and randomness. I would get the Eloquencer and a voltage block. Hope that helps.
@Natemasterflex
@Natemasterflex 6 жыл бұрын
Also, I don’t really care for the buttons on the Eloquencer. They misfire constantly, you can see it’s happening to Ben in this video as well.
@DivKid
@DivKid 6 жыл бұрын
Varigate is definitely all about probability with every gate sider having a slider from 0%-100% but Voltage Block and the CV side not as much as the Eloquencer. Really hard to pick something for someone else. The interfaces will be better for some than others.

I love that patch, great melody and fat sounds too! Is it important to know how to read notes when I buy an Eliquencer?

I have a question about the eloquencer. Can you create swing or off beat gates for hihat and percs while keeping the other outs quantized? I am looking to use it as a drum sequencer :)
@DivKid
@DivKid Жыл бұрын
There's a percentage based swing setting. But it's global. You can use the ratchets to place beats on 1 or 3 positions between the step you're on and the next step. So per channel, per step you can adjust timing. But not totally variably.
@noisehead
@noisehead Жыл бұрын
@@DivKid Thank you a lot it just arrived ^^ I am not able to increase the gate length to more than one step but maybe ill find a workaround.

Looks a bit like the buttons for step1-16 didn´t always respond reliably? For example, when you set the probability for the main beats and deactivated 6-8 and 14-16, did you just press them in a wrong way ie user error, or were the buttons not as responsive as they should be, ie less than ideal scanning frequency or mechanical issue or something?

What sort of kick? Analogue? 808? 909? Samples?
@MadelnMachines
@MadelnMachines 6 жыл бұрын
@@DivKid What did you use in the video? Any kind of analog really. I quite fancy something like a Jomox 09 or Vermona but wonder what else is good. Something very tweakable with a powerful sound. I'm not really into scanning through samples.
@DivKid

Listening to this the kick is the Mutable Instruments Peaks which has a kick drum mode on it's first channel. The snare is also Peaks on channel 2.
