Winter Nature Journaling part 2

I’m back in the studio after making a sketching entry in my nature journal. I have a couple of species of songbird I want to create a more detailed sketch of. Follow along for my drawing process, and the materials I use in winter time.
Colored pencil is a great way to quickly add color to a sketch, and not worry about ink or painting freezing up while you’re outside in winter. I use the same tools back in the studio to wrap up my songbird sketch note.
