Phenomenal video Justin. I really appreciate how you have improved the production value of your videos without compromising the feeling of it being just a guy up in the mountains (although I'm sure you're sick of going back to pick up the camera. I'm also super intrigued by the "car free" nature of the trek, assume you were able to put your bike on a bus to ride from front range to Alamosa? I love that. Not that LB is easy in any season, and getting to Lake Como in the winter is not easy by any stretch, but I was surprised how LB isn't significantly harder in the winter if it's a lighter snow. I only did HG and it was mostly dry to go around, so the crampons only were used for a few hundred feet. I like the idea of SW ridge - seems you did not need crampons at all. Well earned snowflake indeed!

I pulled that move and knew I had to redo it with the camera set up lol! A bit smoother the second time. Bus rides were most of the day: Boulder -> Denver -> Salida -> Alamosa - then the 20 mile ride out to the trailhead: it's a haul! Ridges - especially steeps ones - are def. the way to go in Winter where snow sluffs off pretty quickly. There are options to take ledges below the main ridgeline if you would like, but I usually opt to take a more direct line even though it may be harder - fits my skillset well. I was able to check out the Hour Glass route, and it was pretty caked with snow, and I'm sure not very stable. That whole route looks fairly impractical from the vantage point of the southwest ridge.

Ya dude! Always enjoy your videos which they always get me stoked on a mission. Maybe I will bike to the base of Mt. Tom (west of Bishop,Ca) , followed by a hike/run to the summit. It was cool seeing your camp setup too. Cheers

Looks intense, but I will say, I like hearing about what you're doing/what's going through your head. Just the music isn't my cup of tea.

Haha, thanks! I like playing with the format a little bit and some videos work better with the rolling narration than others. One technical hurtle I struggle with is recording sound when it's windy out (and it's usually windy above tree line!)

I wouldn't mind a little bit of dubbing after the fact. @@TheLongRanger

Not a bad idea! I was thinking of doing a mix for my video on Loveland to Hoosier Pass
