Nice video , nice to see there’s some flat float fishing in the UK . There are times when my local river seine in France resembles that depth and speed and color . I noticed if the bigger bream are the target we fish a heavier 20/25g flat where you’d usually fish a 15g but decking up to 18 inch of line including the bigger droppers number 4s/5s to really stabilize you’re hookbait to deck it .my own experiences revealed that they can be sitting in the peg but just not prepared to chase it . Walking it down the swim with an 8-10g when hybrids and skimmers are the target . We are allowed between 17 & 20 litres of groundbait and 1 litre of maggot which you compose of what you want pinkies worm casters for a 3 hr match 9/10 times it all goes in.!!!😦cupping bait laden last 4 balls over a thrown carpet as I believe noise is a dinner bell I like you’re idea of changing to a bait dropper for another species if it goes quiet I’ll try it .cheers !

Great video Rikki, really enjoyed it. Looking to try this on my local River Loddon as I have been doing well baitdroppering worm and running a float over. I’m sure the flat float will work. How do you estimate the size of float you need? Do you overshot them? Thanks mate

Great video and content new to flat floats would they work on a standard rod or is it purely a pole approach
@bonusfishfox13 жыл бұрын
Purely pole fishing mate unles you fish it at the rod tip and hold it back but I wouldn’t bother 🤷♂️

very professional produced vid... but less chatting more action...great looking peg... id have liked to see you use a continental bollo rod perhaps an sprayed hemp etc...(idea for next time) cheers

Great vid but just a tip, wear your seat belts when you are driving as some cops do watch these fishing vids.

Why not use a cable tie on the pole to hold the bait dropper. I think the best part of the bait got lost in the flow
@normanchaddock33716 жыл бұрын
what pole you using mate?
@matchfishingmasterclass12476 жыл бұрын
the pole im using in this video is a prototype pole that i was testing hense why it has no graphics on the larger sections mate.
