Been looking forward for this series to start for ages as your videos are full of great information although l would like to point out it's 4hrs from Fishguard to Rosslare and not 8hrs Stewart:) which is the route l have booked for my September trip but wish l had waited for your Ireland videos to start and i would have booked the route you took. Thanks for sharing your adventures:)..

Thank you, l was over there last year for 60 day's and will do the same again this year, t's a long sailing to some but in the past l spent 9 months on a single sailing:). l only plan on doing the south and west coast so it makes more sense for me to to go to Rosslare this year. Best wishes to you both

Thanks for watching nothing other than my error as we were in the north we hadn’t hit the republic yet and I had already cut and uploaded the video - hope you can forgive quality control. I couldn’t easily remove so blurred it on this episode

love the videos, I have learned so much from them . We are new to all this and just about to start out getting our transit custom converted. I noticed you got a duvelay what size and thickness did you get for Harry and would you recommend getting one.
@getawaygeese4 ай бұрын
Hi and thankyou for watching but above all commenting So we have actually had two originally we had the 25mm thickness or around that size but we suffer from bad backs so we upgraded to the 50mm A we have a rock n roll bed so we simply roll it up over the back We actually bought the custom service which you can supply the dimensions as we wanted the cut out in the corner where the back pillar sticks out Plus we had the fitted zip sheet which is a tight fit but do much easier All costs money of course but a good night sleep is key - there maybe other forums around that may suggest other brands as duvalay is a premium one I suspect
@getawaygeese4 ай бұрын
Meant to say if you measure a custom size duvalay add a bit more to size as when you lie it obviously pulls in a bit / something we learned between our first and second one

This is going to be something to look forward to. Southport though.... North East!!! No sinkings though Mrs Google so at least that's good news. Seagull should have been called a Gannet instead. We can recommend Guinness 0.0.

lol compass upside down Yes I have had that and have to say 0.0 in my opinion is very close to the normal and I never realised until this trip when they pour it in a pub it’s actually tin they load into a special bar top pourer that has the timing to deliver a perfect pint

Looking forward to following this trip. Have you got underslung water tanks? Do they have problems in the cold weather? I like the look of your cab curtain - is this a diy one? Was thinking of putting one on our van.
@getawaygeese4 ай бұрын
Hi thanks for watching and supporting us We have underslung fresh and waste 40 litre tanks but unsure at what temperature they freeze so plate it safe I have installed the cab curtains myself and a great asset - I did create a video showing how it’s in the playlist of projects on the main channel with my head poking through them - any issues mail me

We normally use underslung fresh and waste but sparingly so we can last longer - only because it was sub zero did we move to bottles which turned out to be easy
