Sound advice Captain Sam. It saves time and money to check/change things while it is hauled out. Having to pay haul out fees can add up fast. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and wish you a very blessed 2024. Be well you two.

Yes, keeping an eye on things and a log for the maintenance issues really helped us out during our looping!

Looks like you were at Winter Harbor. If so, I hope you had the same experience that I had. We stored our Cruisers Yachts there each winter and had all our service there. Tom and family couldn’t have treated us better. Boat is sold and I miss doing business with them. Safe travels.

Awesome! We sold our boat too! And we miss it! 😎

Great to see you two putting out videos again 👏... Capt Sam I have a question:: in order to protect the props better would it be advantageous to design a device to go around the props ( without impending water flow) say of stainless or?? Cheers, Scott from the Northwoods of Wisconsin

Hi Scott, Some boats do have that - it is called a skeg. Generally they are trawlers. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Sam & Rev

Plastic thru-hulls Bad idea Plastic overtime becomes more and more brittle and fragile Properly bedded bronze through holes with green wire bonding is the way to go!

Don’t need to bond through hulls above the waterline. Metal through hulls are preferred for above the waterline also. The sun will get the plastic ones eventually. If you stay in fresh water you won’t have rust issues.

Yes, we found that out when we talked to the yard. In the end, we decided NOT to have this done. Look for Part 3 when we publish that.
