I really like WATCHING your winter videos in Alaska , worked on the slope for several summers , always left in first week of November , people will never get the true flavor of your life until they experience it, new subscriber 👍

Oh man! When you got the drone up and showed the "Inverted V Hexbeam", I know my heart sank! It looks like you were able to save it, though. YAY!!

Good job on the recovery Jeramy! Glad to see it looking and I am sure much better now. I lost a quad back in the 80's here in AL

Jeramy, I"'m purely amazed. I thought that there would have been some broken pieces. I have a K4KIO HB....but down here S. AL we only have to worry about winds from gulf storms....so far in 7 years I've had no problems. I hope that your HB still works after all that ice and snow.

You and me both! It’s amazing how these hex beams can cut through winds! Thanks for watching my friend! 73

I am glad you was able to save your antenna. I have a question though, What is all that white stuff on your antenna and everything else ? Never seen that here in Florida !!! 73' Buddy, K9TPT

Haha, thanks! You will have to come here to find out to experience the white stuff for sure! Thanks for watching! 73

Glad you were able to break some of the ice and snow from it and get it back into shape. In AK I'd almost guess that a true umbrella shape would stand up to your climate better than the upside down umbrella.

Haha, it’s done extremely well. The wet snow it just doesn’t like. Thanks for watching! 73

A hexbeam doesn’t seem ideal for the winter weather in Alaska, but if you take care of it and keep an eye out for the clingy snow it’ll all work out. As long as you don’t have an ice storm… Known on wood! 73!
@KL7ECoutdoors11 ай бұрын
We really don’t get ice storms and wet snow so the hex is really ideal here. The wet snow is what got it. Thanks for watching my friend! 73

I would have gotten the garden hose out and melted the ice off. I made mine from scratch and put ice lines on mine. If yours has them, it had to been a really bad ice storm. And we get the same weather here in Michigan as you.

Yes it has the ice cords. Thanks for watching my friend! 73

Oh no pls don't! You are Person #5 I know who was dealing with the same Problem to occur to their Hex Beams after Snowfall. But in your Case it looks like you got really lucky this Time and nothing got broken in two. Meaning this Time you got away with just one black Eye. Good Job on free up the Antenna from Ice and Snow. Hope this Thing still works as it should to make you many nice Contacts. Happy Monday into the Last Frontier State. Keep up the good Work. 73 de Uncle Günter 💯🍻🙋♂

Amazing save! At 10:21 just before the cutscene, it looks like the closest ice cord is missing, but I can see the furthest one, against the white backdrop of the roof. Perhaps the cord broke? That was a heavy load! 73 VE3GKT
