Tracking further along an old familiar railway line. Wild camping fun without synthetics.

Really nice watching. I have for years been gathering outdoor kit and using modern materials but increasingly find myself intrigued by what kit was perfectly useable only a generation ago, and was the normal materials for use going back aeons before. As a result I'm now moving my outdoor kit towards more sustainable materials wherever I can. For me it all started when I realised I had gone through five pairs of modern material boots whereas my wife was still using twenty year old leather boots. And then it was canvas tents, and now bags. I haven't yet moved away from using sleeping bags, and although I've always coveted down, I am still using a sleeping bag from the mid'90's. I might try a wool blanket on a trip one time but I'll wait for warmer weather! Subscribed.

Another amazing trip! It’s awesome how you got it down, whalers everything goes, how everything is folded and tucked, great job!

A wonderful trip out for us Giles! Many thanks also for the snippets of history. I believe that adds a super depth to your yomps👌👏I'm reading a book that mentions Laurence Binyon the Great War poet. I wondered if there was a familial connection? Anyway, great stuff🖤😎KTF🙏

Best programme I've watched on a Saturday night for a long time. I hear people talk about mindfulness, well imho this video is 36 minutes of mindfulness. Thanks Giles for another lovely film.
