Last I checked Cradle of Filth wasn't even black metal. They were extreme metal with black metal influences... I've never considered them black metal myself. So I don't particularly understand when people call Cradle of Filth 'black metal'. Most places I read call them 'extreme metal' or 'symphonic metal' at most.

Well I sort of just figured you assumed they were black metal seeing as you went from saying "Cradle of Filth used to be good..." into "More real black metal bands would include..." making it sound like Cradle of Filth was a black metal band, just not a 'real' one.
