If u know a bit about music its mostly built up the same way in beats and bars, when u know that its not so hard to know when a change in the music will appear like in 99% of electronic music its a small change every 8 bars

I had the SAME look on my face when I first saw the machine myself. Nice drum accompaniment BTW. I don't know if you have seen it by now, but he has a couple videos where he explains how the machine works. It is basically a glorified music box, or an even closer analogy...a drum based band (carousel) organ.

Wintergatan is a band that has their own channel featuring many hand made music instruments. One of their song actually takes place(or is at least heavily implied to be) in the Harry Potter universe. Marble Machine is one of their most popular songs but their other ones are right up there with it. So if you enjoyed this song as much as it looked like you did, you should check out their channel.
