I dunno man. If you actually make a better machine you'll have taken up 2 spots in the 7 wonders of the world, and that's just too much power for one man to have. Absolutely deserved though, and I can only imagine how great it feels to have something you worked so hard on legitimately get the recognition it deserves. What an inspiration.

The most crazy part about it is that it isn't just the most elaborate music box. There is a need for the player to actively play the guitar, pull the correct levers at the correct time, and then there is intermission. This is not just a feat of engineering but also a true display of skill.

It was neat seeing this when it came out. I listened to Wintergatan for at least a year before on Soundcloud and was very proud they made it big. If you haven't heard "Paradis" yet and have 14 minutes to spare, you should check it out too! The Marble Machine is awesome but Paradis has a truly delightful progression and a comparatively marginal listenership. In fact, it seems to have remained one of their most unknown works.

There are compliments but none fully do justice to this genius. I do not throw that word around but this guy is a design genius. The amount of different talents alone required to create this is impressive enough but the amount of vision and drive to build it put it into the category of genius to me.
