A trick to make eggs not stick is to heat the pan until water drops bead up like little bbs and roll around for a few seconds , if its too cold it just bubbles and evaporates, if its too hot it splatters and evaporates quickly you want the little balls to roll around, that is perfect and nothing will stick after adding your oil first of course. Gee is my preferred lube for eggs. It works like magic on aluminum and stainless steel but I'm pretty sure it works on cast iron as well. Try it and see with one egg first.

I use butter to cook my eggs in my cast iron skillet and they don't stick. I do add oil to the pan after every wash, just wipe down with oil to build that layer of seasoning. I do the same with wok pans. Thanks for taking us along with you on your travels!

Hi guys ! Kevin from Virginia here. Hey ! F. Y.I , If you want to try having a new key cut for your Hummer back home. That should fix your difficult ignition switch problem. GM wants to change out the steering column section.. , nope…… just feel how sharp your key is….. It’s a bit worn down and bit whaler than your other keys. The parasitic battery drain on the hummer is probably quite simple. Glove box light on ? Alarm systems are big culprits. All the best. You guys seem so darn friendly….

Try Bosh Icon wipers, they are an silicon based wiper and will outlast all of the other wipers. Also quiter. They are more expensive but last longer. I have them on my two vehicles. Put them on three years ago.

My mom had a cast iron skillet that was 'ONLY" for eggs!!!! Then she had a cast iron only for everything else. And her eggs never stuck! These skillets were probably 20 years old when I was 60 years younger,and I have no idea which one of my siblings ended up with them!!!

Big Bend area is a great place to visit. I was there about two years ago and stayed at Big Bend Ranch State Park. I had a great little boondocking spot that backed up to the Rio Grand. I'm not sure if you've explored Big Bend Ranch before but there are a few nice hikes. Closed Canyon Trail stands out in my memory as a nice little hike in a slot canyon. Enjoy the warmth and Via Terlingua.

Loved the video as usual! I have never had Quinoa in my life but this looked so yummy that we went to Krogers after watching and bought all the stuff and ate it while we watched the Lions beat the Buccaneers!! I’m addicted to feta cheese.Egg and feta is the great combination for the breakfast.I also recommend Turkish menemen.You need to chop peppers and tomatoes.Fry them together about 5 min.or so in the frying pan with little bit oil ( butter is better )adding scrambled eggs with some seasoning,salt and cook for another 5 minutes or so.Taste will be awesome.Enjoy 👍😄 By the way,you have to have a bread slices with that.

I forgot to mention to not use Windex on automotive windshields and any kind of displays because it has Ammonia in it Most displays, windshields have a coating on them, the ammonia destroys the coatings. Hey!, you were smart to get out of Texarkana, it's one cold place.

Ahh, I was in that same spot at Santa Elena Canyon about two years ago but it was August so couldn't explore much. So glad you went and shared some of your hike 🙂 I still hope to get back there. I've never had any trouble with a fried egg in my cast iron skillets, it must be the cheese causing sticking I think. I'm surprised by all the gear you have in your backseat, but then I remember that you do this full-time. 🌅

I use the BlackStone griddle spray and of course butter in my cast iron when I cook eggs and it they don't stick.. Its really good stuff and you can leave a light coating of it on them after washing to add to the seasoning.
