Nicely done - very comprehensive “to do” list that will be helpful to other boat owners and save them some money. When you were a kid, my California winterization to do list for our Cobalt consisted of one item: “take the boat to the San Ramon Boat dealership.”

Does your drain plug fit in the driver’s cellphone charger? If so it’ll block the start buttons and act as a reminder.

Does your boat have a heater? My 2021 Axis A24 has a heater. Had the boat winterized by the deal Going to summerizer it myself. Wondering what I need to do to the heater.

Do you flush out the antifreeze with water hose through the flush kit in the spring?
@Jmanboat Жыл бұрын
I did. Most of the anti-freeze is supposed to be non-toxic, but I find it to be good practice to not contaminate lake water with antifreeze.

Appreciate your detailed steps since I'm going to try to do it myself this year. I have 2019 LSV with M6DI engine, similar to yours. I don't have a flush kit installed, how do I flush the engine with antifreeze? Do you remove engine drain plugs before or after antifreeze. Also, then fogging cylinders we probably need to take out sleeve, remove the spark plugs then spray oil right? Thanks,

@@yeetmasterlmao9831if you don’t have a flush kit installed I don’t think you can put antifreeze in there. My impression (though I’m not 100% sure), is that draining the water from the plugs is enough to protect the engine from freezing. I removed water from the drain plugs before flushing with antifreeze. I am also under the impression (although not 100% sure), that with the flush kit, opening the drain plugs might not be necessary. Also correct about the spark plugs with fogging oil. The one thing I forgot to do last year was take the air filter off and spray fogging oil, and that intake while the engine was running.
