The gtx has the gel pad factory transducer the fish pro is the only one that has coolant

Great vids! Came here after seeing your other where you mention you hadn’t been flushing your bilge. I just took delivery of a GTX170 and a Fish Pro. They are both 2021 so I want to keep them in excellent condition. So happy I live in coastal central FL and don’t need to winterize. Makes life a bit easier. In fact, taking them out again this weekend. Trying to get past the 5 hr mark before Christmas. Keep up the great vids! We all learn together! 👍🏼

Jealous! I hope to move to FL in the next few years. I was just in the Keys over Thanksgiving and I am usually down there at least once a year. Yeah, take the time to rinse the bilge, I screwed that one up. It felt like forever getting to the 5 hours, but nice skis so enjoy.

Why winterize it? Get out all year around that's what we do

Just put a piece of tape on the wrench or cover the bottom with your finger so the nut doesn't fall through.

When would you add antifreeze for those up north? Should this be done after blowing the air into flush port?

I went to sea doo dealership all they said was to blow the air out. But it won't hurt to flush it with the antifreeze.

So you crank the engine with spark plugs removed not to foul them with the fogging oil?

Not really, it just spreads the fogging oil better and it is what the service manual recommends.

should be stored with no fuel because fuel has a 8 week life and stable does not work in a long winter

Definitely not true, air space in the fuel tank will lead to water contamination through condensation. Always leave as little air space as possible, especially in metal tanks (which doesn’t apply here)

@@jakeman9696 Where would all this condensation come from ? Perhaps if you leave it in a super humid environment but even then, do you leave your tank open ? no. you don't. So the only condensation you find was already in the fuel. Which probably means no condensation if you have halfway decent fuel. It comes in thru a fuel vent you say ? I hardly doubt that will be any amount of concern at all if it even happens.

Stabil is good for 2 yrs, why wouldn’t it make it through the winter?
