Winterizing the TAB 400

If you are going to use the antifreeze winterization method, what's the point of blowing out all the lines? When you pump the antifreeze in, you have to turn on all the faucets and run them until the water is pink anyway. Wouldn't that force any remaining water out? Even if somehow it didn't, I can't imagine that some water droplets would matter? The line blow-out makes me a little nervous plus I don't want to spend $ on a compressor just for this process.

Why can't you just make a 4-season trailer like the Lance Travel Trailers, wouldn't that make it better?

Beneath the bed there are two yellow valves. One for hot water, and the other for Alde Flow. Should the Alde Flow drain be opened, as well?

The answer to this is "yes...drain both". After reading your question (I had the same one) I emailed and they confirmed that you drain both. When you use the "winterize" mode on the Nautilus system, that bypasses the Aldi so you are not putting antifreeze in that tank.

The T@b manual says 30psi, but I recall reading 40psi in the Nautilus manual. Should we be using 40 or 30?

Did I miss blowing out the black and grey tanks? Or is that implied?

The black and gray tanks only need to be emptied. You do not need to blow them out with air.

Do I return the the hot and cold valves to the horizontal position once I blow each line out separately, then move on to the other faucets?

@@kimberleesublett You should open the valves before blowing out the lines to drain any water. After that, close them and open them one at a time, blow out the line, then close it again. Vertical is open and horizontal is closed.
