oh to be a child and not bothered by the cold! -12 is a bit if a difference after 18 degrees. Hope all your prep wasn't needed. The new house looks like a great long term project/investment. Yes to hearing about reno costs. Bet you can't wait to move in.

Congratulations on another big project! You're right about the location being the most important factor and it would be so very easy to go for a really nice house in the back end of nowhere, but you do have to think about the future as things do change. Looking forward to seeing the progress. Hope the pipes don't freeze, does leaving a tap slow dripping in the house help at all?

Hope this is 3rd time lucky. We have to admit that we were very lucky with the location of our village and didn't take public transport into account. We are literally the last stop on the bus route, and can get into Burgas on only 2 buses. Looks like you're all doing well.

that's great, as you never know you need it until you need it! Plans will always change in life, when we first bought out here we had no baby on the way! This is definitely going to be our long term family home

How far are you from Veliko Tarnovo? That is a really beautiful city.

We are about a 10 minute drive from there at the new property, currently we're 30 minutes away, we love it there!

@@ourderelictdream I have dreamed of moving from the USA to Bulgaria for years. The areas I find most attractive are Veliko Tarnovo, Stara Zagora and around Varna on the coast. I am so amazed at what you are doing, especially with a small child. Do you all speak Bulgarian? I find in the larger cities most people much under 40 speak at least some English these days. But, I have found that in most countries once you are away from major cities it gets hard to survive without a reasonably good grasp of the local language.

@@archangele1 VT definitely our favourite but we are biased! We don't speak the language no, but Lee is more conversed than I and can read it very well. We definitely need to spend more time learning it for life to be less of a struggle, and that is our responsibility.
