I’d argue that the higher skill level, the less impactful crack is for the lings. The reason being that higher level opponents stutter step much more effectively limiting the cap on attack speed as melee units have to attack animation, then move, then attack animation. You rarely see pros get trapped by a wrap around ling swarm where they absolutely melt. By comparison, a lower level player constantly gets surrounded, held down, and beaten where crack lings excel.

It's amazing how in both games 1 and 2, Cracklings would have allowed him to *utterly* dominate MaxPax, particularly in the first game base trade fight. MaxPax would never have been able to have carriers on Shin's side of the map if he had cracklings. In game 2, man had 100 zerglings with Mutas controlling the sky against stalkers/templars and like 1 archon. He wins automatically just A-clicking crackling + mutas into the army. It's crazy that both games were only ever close because of ***exactly 1*** upgrade.

@@bigstreetguns6619 It really isn't underpowered. MaxPax dominates zergs hard too. Shin has weird mass unit timings, but he really doesn't do anything different from game to game. If MaxPax actually prepared for Shin, I'm guessing Shin just gets shut down every game. It feels like he's playing against more typical zergs. Couple of early game scenarios where he respects Shin way too much, like he had 2 oracle + 4-6 adepts against 3 queens and 10 zerglings with nothing behind it. It was an auto win. But against Serral, it wouldn't be. He should know by now that Shin will always roll the dice on greed. He literally does it every game, lmao. Right now, Protoss wins early and late game against zerg. You can't ever be aggressive as zerg with energy recharge refilling oracles, and Skytoss is more powerful than any other late game composition.

Thanks for the upload winter, I haven't been into sc2 in a few years now, but I was obsessed from 2010 to 2018. Its fun to take a peak at what the pros are doing these days. I still remember brains melting in casters' heads when terrans started splitting marines against banelings. And when Protoss players only ever cannon-rushed or went all in on 2 bases and no inbetween. Ahh the memories.

I wonder if Time Warp can be buffed to 50% instead of current 40% and lasts 8 seconds instead of 7 and make it affect Ultralisk? Time Warp just feels inferior probably cause 1 MS at a time though and does not affect Ultralisks.

@@aaronbuffalo7769 3-1, twas a best of 5 and MaxPax did not play that well, IMHO. That said, I think Shin is VERY good. He only needs to remember adrenal glands to be as good as the best (that or transition off of zerglings, you have to pick one as you get to hive). If you are 90% the best in the world but then pull a tin-league move every single game you won't ever be 100%.

@@bigstreetguns6619 Do you know how hard it is to engage a decently sized protoss army as zerg? Almost impossible. Even Shin spends most of the games avoiding the protoss army and instead goes for run-bys and counter attacks. Everything dies to storm, protoss has a counter to anything zerg has. Protoss has FAR better defence than zerg with the shield battery. Oracles can just fly in and get many drone kills, while zerg has a very hard time getting damage done early in the game against a semi-competent protoss player. Ling-bane? trades horribly against anything unless you are VERY good at using it, and is far ahead in economy. Yet, zerg is not underpowered, at least not by much. I think zerg has a mobility advantage over protoss, even so protoss has recall, warp-ins and blink. I think zerg has the potential to have a stronger eco than protoss, but it needs it because it's units trade so damn poorly against protoss. if you ruin a zerg's eco, you generally win.

The mothership benefiting more from the armor upgrade than the weapons upgrade never occurred to me before. Considering it can only attack four enemy units at a time, but is likely to have the whole enemy army shooting it at once, that armor upgrade is potentially doing a lot of work. Although I can see how MaxPax should have probably stuck with weapons for the sake of his tempests.

I will never understand why professional Protoss players always send their first 2 Carriers/Tempests across the map immediately when rushing skytoss. Literally all it does is let the opponent know what you're doing so that they can have plenty of time to transition into a counter. Is it really that hard to just rally them into the dead space and try to prevent scouting, or is the early game damage really that tempting for them?

Corruptors look dumb? He had 14 of the just to kill a mothership. 14 corruptors is 150/100 each so thats 1700/1400 A mothership is 400/400 It's a disproportionate response required from the zerg and there is no other option. Mutas, hydras and queens can't kill the mothership. Theres nothing else for zerg that shoots air. Also the corruptor can't shoot ground.

@@spitzhorneule You need to overmake them because you loose some inevitably with archons and stalker below. If you make less and you can't get the mamaship it wrecks the whole fight. Cloak and time warp both very good, but also just the sheer size of it blocks of so much of what's going on underneath. I like how they changed it, it makes it a much more fun unit, I just don't take the bs that corruptors are op. It's a pretty bad unit that does literally 1 thing well, kills massive air units and nothing else. And no they can't attack ground. They can spray buildings, that isn't useful in fights unless you want to spray cannons or missile turrets.
