Talking about out of body experiences: I listened to this song during my first LSD trip, in bed with no lights. It was intense and emotional as hell, but what was really crazy was the symphonic part at the end. I felt like I was melting into an ocean made out of pure darkness and just drifted with the current for what felt like 100 years. It felt melancolic but also very soothing.

Love that analogy of out of body experience. Haven't thought it quite like that, but you're right! For example with "Sons of Winter and Stars" I am soaring through the universe among the galaxies and stars in high velocity.

This is the song on the Album that most resembles Ensiferum, if you like this and are going to do older Ensiferum, you're in for a treat. The first 2 albums are packed full of memorable and catchy riffs, and after Jari left the band started to add more symphonics in the background.

You guys should really listen to Finntrolls album called "Jaktens Tid", it's pretty much an 10/10 album IMO, with similar music style to the early days of Ensiferum (just a bit more black metal to it tho)

If I'm not mistaken, Sadness and Hate was ansong he wrote when he was 17 or something. An earlier band he did called Immemorial. There's probably a few of his songs from way back in those days floating around on KZbin you guys should check them out sometime!

You are correct, Immemorial (which was just Jari and Oliver Fokin) made some demos back in the day, and an early version of "Sadness & Hate" is among them :)

YES! The self-titled Ensiferum album and self-titled Wintersun are two of my favorite albums ever. Both are so very special in their own ways.

There is ONE more Wintersun song you can watch after this. A live version of "The Way Of The Fire"...a song that is not yet released and will be on the Time II album when it comes out. It is weird to say this about a song of which we only have live versions to listen to (seen them play it twice live personally :)) but yeah the song is incredible, good enough to fit into the first album and much much better than any song they have released after the first album save for SoWaS. I would gladly take part in a crowdfunding thing to get Jari to release the song as a single and pay 50€ just for that one song (yeah i know that will never happen)

But the Hollywood version is a much better video. It has very good camera work and the crowd is much more hype. They also perform it better in that video.

Yeah.... Nils Patrik Johansson (Bay of Pigs singer) have/had several bands. Astral Doors (Active and it's his biggest band) Civil War (Left) Lion's Share (Active once again) Space Odyssey (Split-up) Wuthering Heights (Split-up). I would like to recommend Astral Doors because of the traditional Heavy Metal sound. Or Wuthering Heights because of their instrumental talents. Metal Unites Us! /MetalUnitesPeople

You have seen a lot of high-quality music bands like Insomnium, Kalmah, Wintersun, COB, Amon Amarth. I can recommend SHADE EMPIRE. They have a lot of different songs.They also tested saxophone, blackmetal/syphonic/electric music (2004 album Synthetic) and classical orchestral. Some interlude sounds like Two steps from hell I recommend anything with Omega Arcane.For example Disembodiment. They are some very close to Dimmu Borgir but IMHO better. My favorites are still Equlibrium(epic/folk from Germany). Keep it in good work guys :3
