I worked for Conde Nast back when they were at 350 Madison. I got the chance to interact with Ms. Wintour, and she is AMAZING! I love her.

She is everything I would want my nieces to be. Smart elegant successful and well respected independent and she runs her own life. I think all women should aspire to be this woman. She doesn't need a man !

Not one question about her work. Just “why are you not lovable and warm and nice” who cares? She is an incredible business woman
@fashiondolldreamer2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I wonder how many accomplished MEN get asked that? It's just decades- entrenched sexism, pure and simple. I so wish there was a decent enough interviewer out there who would actually ask her about what she DOES, rather than who she is.

She is the "MAN"! No matter you like her style or not... She is leading a very successful magazine. The success can shut a lot of people's mouth.

They don’t interview males in high up industries over their cold demeanour - she is a powerhouse and should be respected more in interviews

Why do women get judged as this ? " A divorced mother of two " Would a man be referred to as such ?

I know right.... Pff clearly this was made by a men.

No, a man probably wouldn't be referred to as 'a divorced mother of two'. How unfair...

she's just doing her job, she needs to be how she is because it get results. people are obsessed with how nice people are, and sometimes to get the job done you have to be tough and you have to forgo niceness. so what if she's scary? people arent machines, she can't be this perfect smily friendly person and do her job properly. life's not like that.
@annabelholmes33695 жыл бұрын
Seriously would that interviewer ask a man the same questions?? What an insulting interview for Anna and for women. She's a successful, driven, disciplined and decisive person and she deserves respect.
@fashiondolldreamer2 жыл бұрын
Exactly! I'm soooo tired of the same old-fashioned sexist questions over and over again. This guy should have stopped interviewing women back in the 50's.

I am the editor in chief of our school newspaper, and even I understand the frustration of people not doing what you want to have a perfect edition. If that's considered being a b*, I'll take it.

@anitasseo I always wear fur. It's a good thing to wear, it doesn't sweat in the winter when you get warm in it. Plus it looks nice and Moscow where I work a lot it gets to cold not to wear it.

I also hate fur. But except that, I find her job amazing (the policy, the discipline, the methods, etc.). I hope someday this lack of ethic in the fashion world (use of fur and animal exploration) ends.

I have had the privilege of working with a personality quite similar to the one we see of Anna Wintour and although I found it difficult to get used to at first, I gained so much in work and self-development. I now count that woman as my best experience and am lucky to still be in the same company as her and occasionally get to work with her again. I disliked the interviewers approach, trying to diminish Anna’s contributions by focusing the character of a movie on to her. Cheap trick and sloppy work from the interviewer.

Of all the questions he could have asked this lady, its disgusting that she's asked if she's a 'bitch' & he's only qualified her to be asked that question because she's hugely sucessful . He should retire.

I don't work for her, so I can speak freely. She is the most powerful woman in fashion, I believe that. But for me, she may use her power in the wrong way. Arrogant, sarcastic, elitist ? Never be blind and never be a slave for anyone, even for your boss. Your dignity should come first. So, if she is intimidating, stand up ! I'm referring from the best seller "The devil wears Prada".

How come Andre gets to be fat and Anna doesn't tell him to lose weight. He's certainly the editor at LARGE all right. Even though he's a man, he is gay so, he should be rail thin like the girls. What say you?
