Hi Janet - Me too. And sometimes it's just what you need and with ink and paint you can control the colors to meet what you need, rather than trying to find the perfect paper. It's really helpful when you are trying to do some stashbusting!!

Hi Susan - These were just plain fun to make! I am going to stamp off all my Happy Birthday sentiments before I pack them up and be sure my all occaision notebook is stocked up. I hope you'll try a sentiment notebook - I am in love with it!!

@@SeniorSusieStamps I am definitely going to try keeping a sentiment notebook, especially for the Christmas sentiments. That will help save time so I do not have to go through all of my stamps sets just to make copies of the sentiments. It will be all there in one place, with different color inks. Yippee! Hi Julia, i love all of your handmade backgrounds, after learning from you, i can hardly stand the thought of buying cards! 😂 When i was a youngster, my dear mom saved her hairspray lids to hold her various bobbypins. Hi there Julia, I think I must be the only card crafter that doesn't have a stash of embellishments. In fact, I don't use them although I have been known to make an embellishment to pop onto a card. Julia, I love how you created the background for these cute festive cards..., it looks fun and messy!!! I am hoping that you don't have many more Christmas cards to make now! You are very wise to shop your stash, as you don't want to add more to your move with new purchases. I use white cardstock, and colour the edges with a co-ordinating colour, just as you demonstrated in this video (12.55). That way, I find that I no longer need to purchase different coloured cardstocks which saves storage space in the craft studio..., maybe for 12 drawers of floral stamps instead... LOL!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Sorry Julia, the naughty me couldn't help but mention that! 😇 I pray all is well with packing up your craft studio, and house. Jesus be with you always. God's blessings, love and hugs. Hi Julia from Oregon. I really love your frozen windshield background for your card. I used to purchase the box of gift tags at Christmas time from COSTCO to cut the backs off and use for the front of my cards. I did that for quite a few years and they made some very pretty cards. Like you I've got oodles of leftovers from sticker packs that make the perfect embellishments. You have given me some other great ideas to do to use up the miscellaneous paper craft embellishment.

Great technique Julia. Love the background. You’re only the second person I’ve seen use pens to edge their cards. The other is Jo Rice who demonstrates for Lavinia Stamps. I use lots of their stamps and love to take a trip there in the summer - their shop is only two hours away and Ruthin is a lovely place. Nothing better than browsing through a craft shop - my idea of heaven - your stash would just get bigger and bigger!
